Location is perfect, right near the airport. Staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Lovely views, and more rural and relaxing than any airport hotel I've ever stayed in. Will definitely be back.
This 4-star hotel is located between Salzburg Airport and the A1 motorway, on the western outskirts of Salzburg. It offers free WiFi in all areas and free private parking.

Beautiful Hotel that I can only describe as perfect. The staff is super kind, the rooms luxurious and a perfect mix between traditional and modern. The spa area is huge and offers everything you could wish for. We ate twice at the restaurant and had the best meals in a long time. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!! :)

The pictures don't do justice. The place was better than expected, room was really clean and fresh. In the hot summer AC was working perfectly. Room had a smart tv, wall mounted with extendable arm, so you can tilt it and watch from the bed. The staff was really friendly. They have a bar in the first floor/ check in desk, so you can order drinks and sit in the inner yard and enjoy the evening. The whole place was an artwork - resin, paintings, sculptures everywhere, even the inner yard area had art on the tables. They have paid parking spaces outside. Location was good, easy to drive in/out of town to explore places like lake Konigssee and Kehlsteinhaus. Walkable distance to the Salzburg center.

It is a residential town so not much atmosphere or amenities other than hotels. It suited us very well as it was very peaceful. Driving or taxi into Salzburg is the best option. Otherwise a bus or taxi to an out of town shopping centre plus a bus from there.
We parked out the out of town shopping centre for dinner and got a parking ticket. It was not well advertised that we should have paid for parking.
Nothing to do with the hotel but be warned!

Whilst Austrians celebrate Xmas on the 24 Dec many visitors were left with little options for dining with most shops and restaurants closed
We were fortunate to find after weeks of looking a great restaurant Classic Cafe open and enjoyed Xmas eve dinner in a warm and friendly environment
And you can’t go to Salzburg and not do the sound of music tour just good old fun and we were blessed with Snow tick the box white Xmas

Very Nice unit.
Very Nice unit. Unit was in good order and had what we needed. I must mention we had a horrible check-in experience. We called upon arrival. Individual had no idea what we were talking about to gain access. Booking.com did not recognize we had a reservation. Had to send a copy of the email to them. According to Google, the location did not match the published address. We were to be at street number #12, but it was actually location was #11. We made multiple calls while in the rain trying to reach someone to sort it out. Except for a good Samaritan who spoke fluent German, it would have been IMPOSSIBLE to get to the unit. Even they required several calls to explain the situation. The until was good, but I would not return for fear of being stranded.

Grödig is a quiet little town South of Salzburg right off of the Autobahn which is a great base for touring the city. It gives lets you see the countryside a bit more and gets you closer to the local people. Buses run constantly so you don't really need a car here, hotels now give a pass for the duration of your stay so it's super convenient. In town near the main intersection is also the gondola service that takes you up to the top of the famous Untersberg, which overlooks Salzburg with stunning views.

A beautiful, rural area ten minutes by car from Old Town Salzburg. The 180 degree view from the Gasthof Maria Plain hotel terrace, and from the balcony of room #20 which we had, captures sweeping pastoral greenery in the foreground, behind which is the city of Salzburg with the iconic fortress on the berg, back-dropped by the soaring Austrian Alps. And the sky at night is spectacular! Want an authentic taste of Austrian Gemütlichkeit? This is your place!

To things are subjects for improvement
First
1.enrich the breakfast
2.There is no refrigerator and safe in the rooms, in my opinion this is a big drawback, a hotel with excellent service like the Kammel needs a safe and a refrigerator in the room for the comfort of the guests

Salzburg is very compact and best explored on foot.
Salzburg is very compact and best explored on foot. The city center is almost entirely pedestrian-friendly. For an authentic local experience, try Salzburger Nockerl (a sweet soufflé) at St. Peter Stiftskulinarium, billed as Europe's oldest restaurant. For a more casual vibe, the Augustiner Braustübl beer garden is highly recommended for its lively energy and traditional snacks. Don't leave without tasting the original Mozartkugeln at Café Konditorei Fürst.
