If you can get the ground floor suite, take it, unless it’s the end of November, when I want it….. Phil (who sunlights as a math lecturer for a university) has made the Guesthouse a labor of love, and a haven of hospitality. He can describe the history of the building & the town. The “chef’s kitchen” is where Prof Phil prepares the breakfasts that you order the night before on a checklist. The coffee-maker is not available for guests (it’s a complicated device) but coffee packets/tea bags/etc w/ a water boiler are all available. There’s a fridge on the upper floor, too, with the themed rooms designed by Phil’s young wife, each with a primary color scheme… On-street parking is right outside the door, and the “main drag” is 5 steps away with shopping options commensurate with the town’s size. Phil is also very helpful with local information & can make phone calls to check on things. Light-cancelling shades keep the early morning sun from waking weary travelers. I didn’t even have a chance to try the big-screen TV or fancy stereo.

New modern bathroom with amazing shower. Stayed in standard king room overnight. After staying in country towns on our trip, this was just what we were looking for. Extremely comfortable super king bed with great pillows at a reasonable price for country towns. Very quiet and ideal location. Would highly recommend and would book again.

The staff were very friendly and communicated with us well in advance to ensure our needs were met. we stayed in a comfortable cabin and there was plenty of room of our family of six.
