We booked two rooms with very comfortable and spacious king-size beds. The rooms were large, bright and spotless, with air conditioning, TV, fridge, kettle, tea and coffee facilities — everything we needed. The location is also convenient, only about 3 minutes by car from Kasane town centre and the shops. The staff were kind and helpful throughout our stay.

Chobe House offers bright, large, clean, comfortable spaces where to stay. But what made it exceptional for me were the following 3 aspects:
1. Its ethical approach to tourism by offering reasonable prices and investing in the local people. Many lodges charge exorbitant, abusive prices that are not distributed equitably to their workers or the community they are in. Additionally, the all-inclusive and ‘enclosed’ nature of the lodges is detrimental to the community because it deprives local businesses, such as restaurants, bars, taxi drivers, etc… from developing.
Chobe House offers activities and meal options if you want to add any on, but by not automatically including them, you have the flexibility to self-manage your trip and also engage with the local trade.
2. The wonderful team at the premises led by Tshi and Twinkle. Tshi is always welcoming and efficient. Twinkle has a contagious upbeat manner and is always helpful.
3. The large floating raft on the Chobe River where you could sit in tranquility and try to find a hiding hippo in the water or marvel at the colours of the sunset.

Kasane is a convenient gateway for Chobe safaris, but in terms of accommodation, the variety is quite limited and not as refined as what you'll find in nearby destinations. Personally, I would prefer staying in Livingstone and doing a day trip to Kasane, as it offers a wider range of quality stays and overall a more well-rounded experience.

It was easy to get around and we were able to get everything we needed.
The boat trip on the Chobe River was unforgettable with the river crossing of the elephants and the sun going down!
We also visit the Chobe Game Reserve and were able to see many lions, Kudu, impalas and a leopard!!!
We did the early morning game drive and visitors must remember to dress warmly! It is lovely on the open vehicles, but it is very cold!!!!
We would love to visit again, but most of the roads are in a terrible condition.

Cruising the river was awesome, we went twice and the second time we saw the elephant swimming over to the Island too feed on the grass, it was an amazing sight that we will never forget. We took an organized tour and had lunch at an amazing resort
