Attractively located in the centre of Vancouver, AZUR Legacy Collection Hotel features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, private parking and room service. We liked the very modern and well-equipped room, the comfortable beds, and the option to open a window. The staff was really nice and the downtown location is great. Highly recommended!
Needed a lot more time. Stanley Park was amazing but I only saw just a little of it. The Hop on Hop off buses were fantastic, really enjoyed Sherry, one of the drivers commentary. The Capilano suspension bridge is worth the trip, as to the Sea to Sky Gondola. Just trying to time your day around the weather. Remember to pack a raincoat/umbrella.
Lonsdale Quay and The Shipyards have lovely cafes, bars, restaurants, and shops, and further down, the craft brewery area is fun too. Lynn Canyon Park has lots of lovely walks, and the trip up Grouse Mountain has lots to offer everyone. Easy access to Downtown Vancouver using the Seabus.
My time in Vancouver was shorter than I hoped, and the rain seemed to follow me everywhere, but that didn’t dull the city’s charm. Between the dramatic mountains, scenic trails, and vibrant city life, Vancouver truly offers the best of both nature and urban exploration.
North Vancouver is a wonderful place to wander around or go by bike. There are lots of walking trails through the woods between houses. You can go between city and wilderness as you wish. The Seabus allows you to zip over to Vancouver without having to set foot in a car or find parking.
This was my second visit to Vancouver, and I visited some of the same attractions again. Capillano Bridge Park was a must-see and the Halloween decorations were especially fun. The Museum of Anthropology was another wonderful attraction and a real bargain. The Aquarium was a bit of a disappointment - but it was a rainy Saturday and REALLY crowded with families with kids and strollers, so that probably colored my impression. We had a tour guide for our first day, who showed us many of the city sights, including the market and the steam clock and the Marine Building. Loved the Laughing Men installation at English Beach. Great restaurants - we had lots of good food.
North Van was better than downtown in our opinion. Lots of bars, restaurants and retail. Harbourside was lovely and wherever you were around Lonsdale Avenue there seemed to be great transport links. Definitely recommend a trip to walk round Stanley Park!
