North Vancouver is cleaner and more outgoing than downtown area. Just about 5km to Capilano from this area. Lots of great restaurants and cafés at the Pier. Drinks and dinner at Joey’s, not too pricy and great presentation and taste of food. Easy access to downtown via SeaBus.Guest review byKajsaSweden - 10

Of all the cities we have been to in Canada this seems to us to be the nicest one of them all. Beautiful, modern and pleasant scenery. We would recommend the city to anyone. This city can be walked, biked, ... Stanley park is a jewel and it is vast. The perimeter walk is 10 km if I am not mistaken. Capilano bridge is a must, if not for the bridge, its for the trees! Our property was located in the eastern part of Vancouver center and to come back I would definitely look for a property in the western part of the city in order to cut down on walk time ant to take advantage of that part of the city. Be prepared to see homeless people in the city. They keep to themselves however a sad situation to witness. I'm assigning no blame here. This city was super clean and we felt safe to walk it.Guest review byDanielCanada - 10

North Vancouver is a very relaxing place to drive around away from downtown because of the traffic. Suspension bridge is the best place to visit, some of the parks are great too like the spin needle. Our stay was shoert so didn't have enough time to visit other places.Guest review byVIVIANUnited States - 8.0

We had a 5 night stay in Vancouver and packed a lot in; Granville Island, shopping in the city centre, trip to Victoria (went out by seaplane and back by ferry), Vancouver aquarium and Stanley Park; the art gallery and Christ Church cathedral, space museum and planetarium, Gastown area and the Waterfront. Also managed to catch an ice hockey game! It's a great city for public transport - buy an all-day ticket from a Skytrain station - and there's lots of cafes, bars and restaurants although I struggled with gluten-free options. Shopping is good too - Downtown for all the major names and Granville Island for local crafts. Would avoid the area east of Gastown.Guest review byBarbaraUnited Kingdom - 10
Nestled against the stunning backdrop of the North Shore...
Nestled against the stunning backdrop of the North Shore Mountains, North Vancouver uniquely blends rugged nature with urban convenience. Its proximity to vast forests, including Lynn Canyon and Mount Seymour, offers a plethora of free hiking trails, from gentle riverside strolls to challenging mountain ascents. While perhaps not widely known for it, a few pockets in North Vancouver offer authentic and flavourful Persian cuisine ( Parse Persian Food is my favorite ), providing a delicious contrast to the area's natural bounty. This combination of accessible wilderness, complete with waterfalls and suspension bridges, and the occasional aromatic hint of saffron and cardamom, creates a truly distinctive character.Guest review byTheArabTravelerBahrain
