Perfect location close to many good cafes and restaurants. Blue Crab Restaurant also offers delicious food. We saw otters playing in the pond from our room window. We love the views of our room.

The owner was very welcoming and met us as we parked and carried my case inside. The breakfasts were very nice, starting with fruit followed by some noodles or soup and then a cooked breakfast with toast or croissant. When he found out I was gluten-free, he ensured that my breakfast were all ok for me to eat. I would recommend a stay here. It was a great location for seeing Victoria and surrounding areas. I would definitely stay here if visiting Canada again.

It was good. The vegetarian plate was just the same but with meat removed. Some substitute vegetarian protein would be appreciated.

We enjoy Victoria so much as it is a quieter city and easy to get around, nothing is too far away. Traffic is lighter and it is just an enjoyable picturesque place to be. We enjoyed eating food from the Whole Foods buffet as we were able to pick and choose from an assortment of healthy items.

We stayed one night after landing on the island from Vancouver ferry. It was easy to find and the rooms clean and spacious. There was a pool and hot tub available alongside the spa. Staff were very helpful and friendly and our meal at the restaurant full of local produce. It was a great stay and perfect if you wanted to take the ferry to Mill Bay

The Kinsol Trestle and Malahat Skywalk are nearby and should be visited. Spectacle Lake is very close and great for short hikes. If driving to/from the Saanich Peninsula, take the small Brentwood Bay to Mill Bay BC ferry.

Saanichton seems like a nice place.

Saanichton seems like a nice place. We stayed at Motel 6 because it was right near the hospital, where my daughter was going to have surgery. There was a restaurant (White Spot) close by. There was a pharmacy and a food store quite close.

We love the cities walkability even in the rain in winter.

We love the cities walkability even in the rain in winter. We love having a hot chocolate and people watching. We love exploring Quadra Village, Oak Bay Village, James Bay Village, Cook Street and North Park Village. We love treasure hunting in the thrift stores. There are lots of great bakeries and cafes to explore. We loved the Belfry theatre in Fernwood Village. Breakfast at the Parliamentary Dining room was great. Beacon Hill park is great...as are the beaches...we love the scale of the city, everything is within walking distance for us.

A well appointed location, immediately beside the Mill Bay ferry to Vancouver Island, avoiding the unpredictable Malahat highway, Butchart Gardens and Butterfly World and several other fun options. Small, intimate facility with all the necessary ammenities.

It's hard to answer this as Malahat refers to a stretch of highway rather than a city or town but it was beautiful. The highway is quite busy most of the time and it's easy to miss your turn offs but there are a lot of U-turn areas as well. There are a few lovely natural areas/lakes/parks in the area that are great for hiking and enjoying. A vehicle is needed but it's only a half hour or less into Victoria as well.

Beautiful place next to water views.

Beautiful place next to water views. Beware there is no kitchen, just a breakfast bar. Toaster, microwave, and small refrigerator. No freezer for ice. There is no dining table. If you like to eat out. This is your place! Living space is very well played out.

On our first trip to Victoria, we were not comfortable with the many homeless people we witnessed, and this greatly affected our opinion. On our second visit we did more exploring and our view of Victoria changed for the better. Many good shops and great waterfront. The Hotel we stayed at was in a great location and my wife and I were treated very well. Breakfast was included and it was one of the best ever! A large homeless population is still troubling! Chuck

The top floor unit we rented was well furnished (very comfy bed) and quite large. The area is very close to Butchard Garden which is why we chose this property as we wanted to be able to take our time to visit the garden in detail. The location of the house/unit is in a very peaceful surrounding. Very quiet at night. We could also go for walks nearby. There are some restaurant and grocery stores in the nearby village (The Villages Pizza in Brentwood Bay was soo delicious).
