I really enjoyed my stay, I can’t confirm any of the unpleasant experiences other people write about. —> If you read the instructions properly you are well aware that one of the room options comes with bathroom or shower cubicle outside the room. Showers, toilets and room are super clean. Staff was very, very friendly. It was the perfect stay to get a good nights sleep after a late flight. I slept very well and the room was perfectly locked at night.
If one reads the emails properly one is also aware of the 60€ deposit.
For the price it was the PERFECT deal, I’m glad I trusted the good reviews.
Tipp: in booking.com one can add a note while booking, I’ve added the request to put me not on the street side, so it was quite quiet at night with my ear plugs. Also: walking from Basel Airport is easy, under 20min, or: keep 10€ in cash for the taxi ready.

The house is very close to the airport, about 20 minutes walking, so perfect for a short stay if you need to travel. It was equipt with everything we needed, and our host went out of his was to help us with everything we needed! 10/10!

We stayed in the apartment for 5 nights with our family and were very satisfied with the accommodation. The location is in a quiet part of Saint-Louis, and it’s about a 10-minute walk to the train station. There is also an Aldi supermarket about a 15-minute walk away, which was convenient for shopping.
The apartment is located on the first floor, it’s easy to access, and it has excellent heating. The kitchen is well equipped, including cookware and utensils, so we had no problem preparing meals. The whole place was clean and tidy, which made our stay very pleasant.
The only drawback is that the kitchen has only two chairs, and there were three of us, so an additional chair would have been helpful.
Despite this small issue, our overall impression is very positive, and I highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Saint-Louis.

It is a nice little town.
It is a nice little town. I only stayed here to be close to the airport since I was attending a conference in Basel.
The afternoon and first night after arrival I had a nice lunch at the bar in town and dinner at the Italian restaurant.
People are very friendly and helpful at the town.

I had only one night there and my flight was at 7.00 in the morning.
Breakfast buffet was ready at 4.30, when I came downstairs, so it was possible to have coffee and to eat something.

The property is conveniently located opposite the tram stop, with easy access to Basel or beyond if you want to go to Colmar or Strasbourg by train - only one tram stop to the train station. Short bus ride to the Mulhouse EuroAirport . The property is well maintained , clean, with everything you ll need in the kitchen, bathroom, etc. quite spacious. The host responded very efficiently to all our needs and questions. Highly recommend.

If you stay in Hégenheim, France, to visit Basel, Switzerland, and you rent a car, you will have to pay an extra daily fee to cover the multiple border crossings you will be making, and the fee is not insubstantial. In addition, I heard that local taxis will not cross the border. I did not experience that, but it's something to ask about and be aware of. I don't know if the no-border-crossing issue affects shared-car services like Uber as well. Crossing the border with your own rental car is problem-free, as the border crossings are not restricted or controlled in any way. However, be aware that a pass needs to be used to park in some parking lots, such as at shopping centers where supermarkets are located. The rental car agency may provide you with the pass for free, but you have to figure out how to use it.

We used this location to spend time in Basel.
We used this location to spend time in Basel. Main train station had a tram that went to Basel every 15 minutes. Make sure you travel with your passport if you are going to go to Switzerland or France as passports are being checked itermittendly at the borders. Our property was approx. a 20 min walk to the trainstation. Flat city, many shops and restaurants along the way. If you go at Christmas time, the Christmas market was at the front of the hotel.

Basel is very easy to navigate.
Basel is very easy to navigate. You can quickly reach every point and landmark in the city. Public transport is very well organized, there are always places to sit. The proverbial Swiss punctuality is exactly as they describe it. In the central part, most of the landmarks are within walking distance. The surrounding environment in the city is very calm and there is no traffic of cars or people.

If you have an early morning flight then make sure not to rely on Uber. Book a taxi in advance. I very nearly missed my 6am flight (which was a reschedule after a cancellation the evening before) as there were NO Ubers around at 3am. I was lucky I didn't need to check baggage otherwise I would definitely have missed it. You cannot walk to the airport from here - even though it is right next to the airport - which is massively frustrating.

I am French so I was happy to stay in France while visiting Basel. Because of the poor experience we had in the apartment, we moved to another one in Switzerland. We found a very charming village with beautiful architecture and nature around. Switzerland must have been wealthier than this part of France for a long time and it shows.
