We stayed for 3 nights and our expectations were exceeded. The hotel is in a good location for exploring the whole island. Our room was in a great position, overlooking the pool, was comfortable and air conditioned. The hotel’s garden, food and cocktails were all brilliant. A taxi into Hanga Roa was only 5000 CLP. We hired a car from the hotel for the day so we could explore ourselves. We then had a half day excursion with a brilliant guide the following day. She was the president of (I think) the tourism board in Rapa Nui. Learning and seeing the Moais was definitely the highlight of the trip.

Cabañas Tahonga Rapa Nui is a recently renovated apartment in Hanga Roa, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities. The holiday started off amazing when we were greeted at the airport by Gary with an absolutely beautiful Lei garland. Then being taken to the cabin, we were given a warm welcome by Cami, who explained everything about Easter Island and gave us plenty of recommendations for tours, restaurants and shows to see! The accommodation was comfortable, modern with a rustic twist and tranquil. We wanted a rental car which Gary sorted for us which was waiting for us upon arrival. I would highly recommend getting a car to drive to Anakena beach. The cabin is close to their small hotel which gives you access (booking is advised) which Gary set up for us with candles, music and a drink! It was perfect. Very sad to have left! Highly recommend!

Located in Hanga Roa, 17 km from Ahu Tongariki, Hotel Ohana Rapa Nui provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. We liked everything! Super clean, comfortable and spacious room! Good water pressure in the shower, great breakfast, comfortable bed and premium amenities. The best part is the staff though. They were always smiling and went out of their way to please us and make sure we had the best experience. Special thanks to Ingrid, Bruno, Felipe and Ringo, perfect service from beginning to end! We rented the car with the hotel and it was there for us when we arrived, super easy and convenient! They picked us up at the airport and dropped us off with no charge. And we also hired a guide through them and we recommend each and every one of their services!

Staff are wonderful, super friendly and helpful, tell you everything you need to know, help you with booking tours etc. Andres was exceptional, very friendly and great source of local knowledge

Pacific Bungalows, a property with a garden, is set in Hanga Roa, 1.8 km from Pea, 19 km from Ahu Tongariki, as well as 2.2 km from Tahai. Everything you need is in the house. Quiet and cosy. Walkable distance from the airport. The bed was amazing! We had the best sleep for a while.

Located in Hanga Roa, Cabanas Hinariru Nui offers accommodation with a balcony or a patio, free WiFi and flat-screen TV, as well as a garden. it’s in a garden near the airport ( but only 3-4 flights a week) and a 15-20 minute walk downtown the folks that run it are sweethearts they have rental cars so you don’t even have to leave the property for that…. and their jeeps are as cheap or cheaper than the places in town….
