The staff was very helpful as well. We loved it. There was a very nice young man called Jorge, very helpful. He provided excellent information. Amazing customer service.

Great place for couple days to relax and enjoy the magic of the area. Internet network worked fine and it was realible.

But where she went above and beyond was preparing a special thing for a special event and also helping me find my phone which I had lost somewhere in the village. It’s definitely somewhere I would consider going back to. It is clearly not high end accommodation but it is extremely clean and the rooms have great air conditioning. For the price it is unbeatable. We also saw a humming bird while there and a few frogs. It is a lovely place to just be and relax.

If you want somewhere authentic, in the local village with great hosts Gloria and Sergio, do not hesitate to book here. Very clean, quiet, ideally situated. We did the night walk/boat with Gloria and Sergio which was amazing, definitely worth doing. If you need a taxi boat or want to do a tour of the canals, go through Owen, their friend. The traditional breakfast was delicious.

Set on a riverbank and surrounded by jungle, Tortuga Lodge offers an outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi and a restaurant serving fusion cuisine with Caribbean flavours. All rooms have river views. Loved it! I found everything perfect! The hotel is really comfortable, our room was pretty big and all of the staff simply lovely (especially Sulay really helped us with everything)
