He shared some homemade pinto with us and gave us lots of information that was helpful for our stay. The guest home is clean, comfortable, and safe feeling. It is conveniently located near the airport, grocery stores, banks, and cafes. Highly recommend this place for your first or last night in Costa Rica. José is also a big fan of Canada which was fun for us as Canadians! Make sure to bring cash as this location is cash only payment.

Even though, the rooms are small, they are comfortable enough to stay one night to take a flight the next day. There's air-conditioning, hot water, WiFi, and TV with Spanish audio. Also, there is a table and a chair if you need to work on the computer, and night tables. You won't have a fridge in the room but there are snacks and drinks to buy, in the office, if you need some. They provided the transport to the airport, as well, that was fabulous. The driver was punctual and really helpful.

Apart from the hotel's location close to both Liberia city and the LIR airport, we also liked: - Food at the restaruant what was very tasty, both breakfest and dinner - Staff was nice and attentive at both restaurant and reception - Rooms were big enough and with air conditioning - Property where the hotel is located is great with lots of green places, trees so you can walk around a little bit - Big tree in front of the hotel is worth seeing

The Hampton by Hilton (LIR) is what it is. It is an American chain hotel directly across from the airport. It was clean and safe. The rooms are S-M-A-L-L. Our party was two adults and two kids, and I'm glad we only stayed one night. Again, it was fine for a one-night stay, but don't expect to be blown away.
