I think just because of them and this place it does worth to visit Costa Rica! :) Hints: -To get good hot water for the shower, put the knob to the middle, then don't pull it to the maximum to have the biggest amount water, but until midway. At least this worked for me like this. -A supermarket visit and the breakfast was done in 20-25 mins, total. That is still a good option in case of a late arrival and early departure. Besides, - this is more a note to the hosts -: maybe a bit more amenity in terms of biscuit or similar would be good. Apart the water which was of course, also great to have!

It was actually a very comfortable stay. The owner was very helpful. I timed it, and it took 15 min to walk to the airport. The room was very clean and comfortable. Alajuela has cool nights, so lack of AC was not a problem. Great budget option for late arrivals or early morning departures.
