Everything was fine. You can park your motorbike in front of the hotel, with a good view from the rooms. The area is peaceful. The room was simple, but clean in every way. Breakfast was good. The hotel restaurant had very good food.

It felt homey the second we arrived. Spotless and had everything one needs for a stay while sightseeing. The shower is perfectly powerful. The washing machine an added asset to do laundry during a road trip around the Czech Republic. The hosts were helpful with tips when needed. Private parking. Great options of bbq and enjoying a warm night if desired. Would stay again without a doubt.

I was there twice and never didn't take enough time for detailled exploring city and surroundings. Main square is really big and in neighbourhood streets there is really great choice for drinking beer or coffee, to take traditional or modern style lunch, to research historical buildings. The concentration of bars is even bigger than in Brno, Plzen or Karlovy Vary. Although, there are many sights in walking distance, prices are very reasonble and place itself is a great hub for exploring close destinations, such a Česky Krumlow (30 min), Tabor with Chocholate museum (45 min), Hluboka nad Vltavou castle (15 min), Telč (1:15 min), etc. I recommend for at least 3 days staying, peak season is summer.

Roudné is a small village near the town of České Budějovice and is extremely convenient as a destination to visit all the natural, cultural, historical and architectural sights of South Bohemia! From Roudné it is convenient to visit incredibly interesting places such as: České Budějovice, Český Krumlov, Tábor, Písek, Holašovice, The State Chateau of Hluboká, Červená Lhota Castle, Orlík Castle, lake Lipno and many others.

The Christmas market was great, and the old town area is nice - just like any/most old town areas. There are some sights to see, but mid-late December isn't a good time to visit. It's a good base to do day trips from, for example Cesky Krumlov is 30 minutes by car, you can visit a zoo or castle, go hiking, etc. Be sure to check out Přemysl Otakar II Square and its surroundings, most sights are within 10 minutes of walking distance there.

It's a small old town with very few things to see.

It's a small old town with very few things to see. It has one main square and the Black Tower which you can climb up to and see the view. Other than that, it doesn't have much to offer. I also found that it wasn't very safe at night, we even encountered a gang fight during our stay. However, it's convenient as a "base" for people who want to explore the South Bohemia region or want to do a bicycle tour and enjoy the nature around the area. But if you want to visit a nice quaint little Czech town with cobblestone streets, nice cafés/restaurants, and beautiful views, go to Cesky Krumlov.
