The moment we entered the hotel for the first time, we got an excellent service. Very attentive staff members, very friendly, offering all the important information. The room was absolutely great, very spacious, clean, well furnished, and what matters most to me, it was quiet at night. The breakfast was also very nice with a good level of food variety. As a non French speaking visitor, sometimes it was a bit more challenging to communicate with the staff working at the restaurant and explain my needs. The location of the hotel was really good, although not in the city center which was the reason why I did choose this hotel. I didn't want to be in the noisy city center. So I very much appreciated the location. What really stands out for me in this hotel are all the staff members who were always very sweet, ready to help and to take an extra mile.

I booked this hotel with booking com. 5 days before my stay and my reservation was confirmed. When I came to the hotel, they told me, that they have no booking to my name, even when I showed them confirmation emails. The receptionist was very unpleasant to me. Then he told me that they can only give me the room if I pay cash with no bill document. Then in breakfast which I got to my room, in bread there were live worms. I showed the photo and bread to the receptionist and received no compensation or apology.

The whole staff and service level was impeccable - always attentive to our needs from beginning to end, very friendly, professional, flexible and bringing valuable advice. Facilities are good and the room is comfortable. The hotel is (on purpose) close to the historical center of Oran and this allows you to explore its key landmarks easily. However, to manage expectations, please be aware that the neighborhood is quite messy overall, and dangerous in the evening. It is not so close from the city’s trendier restaurants but the hotel one was really good. Just make sure you check what is available in the menu before making your reservation. We look forward to returning to Hotel Medina in a future trip.

Very nice and friendly hotel placed in a very good location, practically in the center of the city. The room was maybe a little dated, but had a refrigerator, comfortable bed, correct bathroom, and good WiFi. The decor of the hotel has its own historic vibe. The breakfast was basic, but the staff was very friendly and helpful with advise. Free secured parking in the enclosed yard behind the hotel. Walking distance to all the major attractions of Oran, including the lower station of the cable car that will take you up onto the mountain overlooking the city and the Sanctuary of Santa Cruz located there. Strongly recommend. Will stay there again when next time in the area.
