Hotel Garcas is located in the small town of Lavacolla, 10 km from the centre of Santiago de Compostela. It offers a traditional Galician restaurant with a covered terrace. A good hotel with a good restaurant and friendly staff. The only hotel within walking distance of the airport (about a mile from the hotel to terminal). Of course taxis or buses are available also. I did walk, there is a path the last 1/2 mile that takes you to the baggage level. Up one level and you are at ticketing/departures. A nice airport BTW.

Located 10 km from Santiago de Compostela, this hotel is situated along the famous pilgrimage route and there is a playground for the kids in the hotels garden. Excellent to and from airport transfers. 24hr reception. Buffet breakfast was well thought out, well priced and with lots of variety. Rainfall shower head was lovely. Clean room. Friendly staff. All good.

After completing my Camino Portuguese, I walked from Santiago to Albergue Fabrica to be nearer to the airport for my departure. Albergue Fabrica was simply perfect. Kind host, beautiful and clean facility. Close by a restaurant and by the bus to take me to the airport the next day.

We were only there for a long layover - so in super late at night and out super early, but it would have been a great place to spend longer. The woman who runs the place is so lovely and helpful. She stayed up super late to greet us and helped us get a taxi back to the airport in the morning. The place is spotless, cozy, and the bed was so unbelievably comfortable. We really appreciated our stop here.
