ItalyLocation: 10 minutes' easy walk on the flat from the airport, but with a shuttle generally available. On the main bus route into the city, about 20 minutes away. Quiet area with trees. Spacious, very clean and comfortable room and beds. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Restaurant: especially for breakfast (starting from 4am.) food was tasty and good value. Although specific check-in times are stipulated, they are flexible. Supermarket not too far away at the airport. In short, everything a traveller arriving by air needs.

I booked on the basis of easiest access to return a hire car to the French side of Geneva Airport and cost for three adults to stay overnight prior to an early morning flight. This hotel exceeded our expectations in what it delivers for the price. Friendly and professional mask-wearing staff (I believe Katalina?) who upgraded our room in respect of my mobility issues and (I believe Katarina?) who gave us a wonderful recommendation to a local restaurant for the best pizza ever. The room was clean and spacious enough for three adults, with one double and one single bed. Good shower, a window which opened, a desk, clothes cupboard. Based on previous comments re room size we were pleasantly surprised as the room, the caring and professional service, a very secure gated carpark etc all exceeded our expectations. Ferney-Voltaire's value lies mainly in the fact that it is linked to expensive Geneva: busses go between the two and you can walk across the border. However, the little town also offers excellent bakeries, supermarkets, green spaces and parking. Importantly, there is also easy and regular transport to Geneva airport, though make sure you know how to get to the Swiss side or the French side for departing flights.
