This lovely historic is lovely. The rooms are nicely furnished and the bathrooms are modern. The breakfast had a variety of options, and did the dinner. All of the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed staying in the village of Broadclyst, which is a short bus ride to and from Exeter. There is a nice walk that explores the local countryside, and the church is an historic beauty.

The hotel staff were very helpful, we were welcomed by the friendliest gentleman. After a busy and long day it was so nice to arrive to a kind and friendly face, he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and relaxed. Sadly I didn’t get his name. The room was really comfy and clean and the breakfast was amazing, with plenty of options. We will definitely be staying again!

We loved the location and character of the hotel. We were met by friendly and professional staff who made us feel totally welcome and even upgraded our room at no additional charge. The beds were firm and comfortable with a great shower in the en suite. We loved our stay and.only wish we had booked more nights. Make sure to visit Darts farm right next door and the quaint waterfront village of Topsham which is a short drive from the hotel.

Although there is a lot of new builds in the locale, these did not interfere with my stay as the Grange Court B&B is very secluded. There are various eateries in the vicinity with a Chinese buffet nearby on a Monday evening

Easy travelling distance to Exeter Airport, M5, Exeter, West Point and would make a good base for touring the area. It is in a quiet location for those who like a good night sleep, but in easy driving distance of some goods pubs, we had a nice meal at the Jack In The Green.

Whimple is only a small village but is ideal for exploring south Devon, the village has a main line Railway station with links to Exeter and London, The village pub has a good selection of beers and the food is very good, due to the location, you would need a car to explore this area as there is very little in the way of footpaths in the small country lanes

It was ideal for us, visiting family in the St Leonard’s area of Exeter. Nothing fancy, but warm, clean and comfortable- just what we needed. Quiet residential area with its own parking spot right outside the door. Good sized rooms and plenty of space for a family of four. The ‘balcony’ is just a set of double doors with a balcony rail outside- you can’t actually sit on it! Otherwise the description was accurate and all facilities were in good working order.

Poor restaurant service
e.g. Not well catered for vegans with inaccurate VG menu markings i.e. Thai curry had fish sauce in it and was marked as VG which is misleading. Should use different markings for vegetarian and vegans not the same VG marking!
e.g. Ran out of ingredients and was promised a discount on the dinner bill plus free drinks but neither was given.
e.g. Breakfast was cheap porridge very badly cooked and limited choice i.e. no fruit or juice was offered with the porridge
e.g. Very dirty restaurant carpet with horrible marks all over it. Time for a new carpet?
Poor spa availability
e.g. Very limited availability and not enough time using the spa facilities which was upsetting consider I paid for a £200 spa break.

A tricky place to stay if you need to eat out; the nearest restaurants are just too far to walk comfortably (and were all booked solid when I was there- Covid issues, I had overlooked the problem). However there is nice walking not too far away (by car). Very convenient for the airport but with no airport noise.

With the covid restrictions we had 30 min to use the sauna. Most of the elderly ladies who just finished a exercise class in the swimming pool finished came and joined the spa facilities. Evethough we had another 15 minutes from our session we had to leave as the steam room and jacuzzi were overcrowded.
