This place is the best value accommodation in Shetland. I have no idea why the previous reviews are so poor. We are locals who had to have a stay over for a medical appointment, and the cabin is exactly what it looks like in the photos. There is no bedding- a fact that is made clear on the booking.com website and in the email we received from the park directly. A previous poster criticised there being no kettle. There is a kettle, located in the kitchenette area. There is no accommodation for 5 people available on Shetland at this price, so what you see is what you get. If you are after something 4 *, go and stay in the Lerwick Hotel for £300+ a night.

I have stayed in Marriott's, Hilton's and The Fairmont's but Amanda's attention to detail make this one of the best places that I have ever stayed in. The single room might be small, but it's completely self contained. It has a fridge, a microwave, a care basket with loads of free goodies, a coffee machine and a kettle. The best part is that you also get a place to sit and have your coffee. The bathroom is on the ground floor, but it is spacious and clean. Even the towels are scented. Amanda and her son have made sure that everything you need is there for you. There is freshness as soon as you enter the room. Since she has also been the councillor, she has wonderful insights into the actual lives and problems of people of Shetland. Her tours are really informative and interesting. Bottom line, I would never book anything else whenever I am in Lerwick.
