An outside garden area was fenced off for privacy and had loungers, table and chairs, and a barbecue for our use and the host couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful.

It's a very comfortable, very well-thought-out, and convenient place. Unlike many other properties in the Highlands, it was warm and dry. It even has a washing machine, which was very handy after 2 weeks of travel.

Having our own bedrooms and a kitchen for a few days while we explored the island was just superb. It was great to stay in a proper home in the middle of all the travelling we were doing and we were able to relax and enjoy all the more for it.

The layout was very nice too. There were 2 bathrooms, the kitchen was nice and well supplied, and the living room was very comfy too! There was one bedroom downstairs and 2 more upstairs. Even though we just had 2 staying here, this would be a great place for 2-3 couples or a family. The wi-fi was good and easy to connect to. The road in front of the house could get loud at times, but it did not interrupt our sleep at all. The drive to town was easy and quick and the drive to the ferry was about 5 minutes as well. This was a nice place and we will plan on staying here again when back in the area.

The property was outside of Stornoway but very close to pop into for shopping as required. Very well laid out and the view from the back across to the sea was really good.
