Despite the heat, the room was very cool even without the use of air condition. It is a family business, and the owners are very friendly, helpful, and above all sincere. The area is very quiet and calm, as the entire island is. I definitely and most heartily recommend this facility. Restaurants, super market and beach within a walking distance.

The position was amazing, and the hosts were wonderfully nice to us. They helped us find scooters to rent and recommended all the best spots on the island. Even more so, they made us feel at home the whole time!

The hosts are really welcoming, heart-warming and helpful. We were picked up and also brought back to the port (and got help with our luggage) on our departure day. We were getting very helpful tips about which beach we should visit according to wind and weather forecast. Apart from the above, we received little homemade treats of local products everyday. The rooms were very clean. Next to the rooms there was a nice little beach for a morning dive (2min. walk). The rooms had a sea/beach view, which was amazing. The perfect getaway! The rooms were very quiet and only 10min walk to town. The biggest supermarket of the island was round the corner. We would definitely recommend Votsalo! The overall experience of our stay was very good!

Also the parking space was very convenient. The host was very polite and the overall service very professional. We will definitely stay in Ydria if we visit Astypalaia again.

Their warm hospitality made us feel truly special—from the thoughtful welcome, to the wine and fruit on our last night, and the lovely gift at our departure. We couldn’t have wished for a better place to relax, recharge, and enjoy this special time together.
