It was a one night stay in this hotel, and was great. The location is good, next to the main road and 15 min. walk from the airport. A lot of streetfood near the hotel:) The equipment of the room is good (perfect shower, AC e.g.) the staff polite and kind. Everything was more than ok:)

GG Homestay provided us with a comfortable and convenient base before and after a Liveaboard trip.
It was clean, comfortable, in a safe area and I would recommend staying here.
The owners were very accommodating with our request to check in early and were kind enough to help out with a taxi to the airport.

Well kept grounds, simple but you will have everything you'd need. Even water filler tanks in room. Staff was super helpful and nice, I definitely recommend to stay at Barondas.
Little bit of from centers huzzle, which was definite plus but not too far from the airport or harbor.

Another pleasant stay at this hotel! The room was clean and comfortable, and the location near the airport and ferry made everything easy. Staff were friendly, and breakfast was a nice mix of local and Western dishes. A reliable choice in Sorong.

Stay in Sorong is of course the best way to reach Raja Ampat...
Stay in Sorong is of course the best way to reach Raja Ampat without being in a hurry, but it is also possible to organize day trips for birdwatching or just for exploring the surrounding area; i.e.. we visited Batu Lobang Pantai, a nice place to spend time.

Sorong is the entry point to exploring Raja Ampat.
Sorong is the entry point to exploring Raja Ampat. Unfortunately its town does not match the beauty or cleanliness of what the region has to offer. It is a poor town with limited facilities and attractions. Not a place to stay for a long time.

Not a great place to visit.
Not a great place to visit. City is very impoverished and really is only as a point for embarking on cruises or boats to the islands of Raja Ampat. The islands and reefs of Raja Ampat are spectacular.
