Hotel in Galway ( 2 miles)
This contemporary hotel with leisure facilities and free parking is located opposite Galway Racecourse, just outside Galway city. This was our first family holiday in the town of Galway. We stayed over the St Patrick's Day weekend. The hotel provided everything we needed to enjoy our stay and relax after a long walk around the town. I think the pool is a great addition to relaxation! The breakfast at the hotel is also excellent. Great service in the restaurant during breakfast, attention to each guest. The food was very tasty and fresh, very wide range where everyone can find what they like. Great location. If you have a car there is no problem getting to the city center, it takes about 15 minutes. Thank you for a wonderful holiday. We wish you more grateful customers and prosperity!

Very nice town with easy access to Galway city and surrounding areas. We took the local bus into Galway city which was great as we did not have to worry about parking. Buses run to schedule. Spent some time in Oranmore village which was lovely.
Unfortunately The only hotel in Clare Galway was rented out to refugees.their restaurant was good but I would not have eaten there if I knew was rented out to The government for refugees.the hotel could have kept some rooms for tourists or Irish people like me visiting Galway hospital 🏥 as it is on The main road into Galway.the hotel was greedy And took The devil's silver 🥈 The locals aren't happy I heard it from The horses mouth.greed pure greed like one third of Irish hotel's.the locals Will boycott it that's for sure.at 8 pm The restaurant had more staff than customers. End of comment
Quite a grand hotel, which has a restaurant and a good leisure centre with helpful staff. The suite I stayed in had a king size bed, bedside lamps, small sofa and chair and a circular table. It had air-con but I did not use it - the window had louvre shutters and would open, which I preferred to do, rather than use the air-con. There was no view, as there was a screen of artificial ivy arranged outside, in front of the window, but it was quite pleasant. The decor was of a good standard and of a subdued beige, brown and sage green - calming but evocative of the 70s. It could use some bright scatter cushions to bring it up to date. I only breakfasted once but the staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was a wide range of possibilities, through the traditional Irish to continental options. It is also possible to buy a ground coffee, rather than the usual hotel instant, at an additional cost of €2.60. There are tables outside the front of the building which make a welcoming area to meet for coffee or drinks in the pleasant green surroundings of mature trees, shrubs and garden. It is a short walk to the nearest precinct ('Joyce's) which has supermarkets, clothing retailers, a newsagent a bakery and a Costa Coffee - a good option for an alternative breakfast. The bus stop for the Cliffs of Moher is just outside Joyce's, on the same side. Just across the road is a garden containing the spring/well which gives Oranmore its name ('More = well). Beside it is the bus stop to Galway city - buses run at about 20- minute intervals.
Staying short term for a nearby event in Claregalway Castle. Second time staying here, the hotel is beautiful, as is the restaurant. Food is great generally, though they serve terrible coffee, get the tea instead. The people are friendly and helpful. I really wanted to try out their extra facilities like the pool, but didn't get a chance too. Hopefully next year! We got the same room as last year, perfect for a family. Beds are comfy. Some of the lights didn't work. A consistent noise came from the bathroom, but closing the door helped. Not very soundproof, you will hear your neighbours stumbling in. Has parking! only 15 min drive from Galway.
Michael and Ann were wonderful hosts. His guidance on a sunny day in May afforded us the opportunity to see some wonderful sights in Connemara that otherwise we would not have seen. Ann’s scones at breakfast were an added plus. Being just south of Galway, it was well positioned for us to visit the Cliffs of Moher, some Celtic crosses, Doolin, and the Burren.
Hotel on main bus route into Galway so easy access to attractions. Hotel has various shops/pubs nearby so plenty of choice. Staff friendly and most very helpful. Loved sharing stories with a particular staff member called Robert (Team Leader) who made us laugh every morning. Meals enjoyable and reasonably priced compared to other places we tried.
