The hotel and staff were excellent. It's a great location for the airport and was really quiet. The room was high quality and perfectly presented. We dig t avail of the shuttle service but noticed it was waiting at their front for those wishing to use the service.Overall a very pleasant experience at this hotel.

Wonderful location and a lovely inn and I was able to spend time in the gardens they have as well as take a nice walk in nature. Roy the host, put out a lovely breakfast early for me even though I had to leave SO early to catch a flight.

Exceptional stay right from the beginning! Liam greeted us upon arrival, we were promptly checked-in and offered a lovely arrival taste of Irish whiskey. Our room was ready and our bags were swiftly taken to the room without even having to request it. The room was lovely, clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The spa was a delight, as were the pool and jacuzzi offering. Bloom was a great spot for an evening cocktail before heading into town or dinner. Bikes were available free of charge and we enjoyed ourselves immensely exploring Cork on them! Highly recommend stay at Hayfield, we will absolutely be back!

Very nice hotel, clean, comfortable, lovely atmosphere and ambience.
The staff were very friendly and courteous.
I have to mention the lady on the night shift at front desk……..we were heading for hospital appointment on Friday morning, Nov 21st at 6.45am. It was very frosty. That lady came out to our car and defrosted all windows and windscreens. Very impressed with this capable, kind, compassionate lady who is not afraid of hard work on a freezing cold morning. Please let her know how grateful we were.

Cork itself was a great experience.
Cork itself was a great experience. The city has a relaxed atmosphere, friendly people, and everything is easy to reach. It isn’t overly populated, the air feels clean, and there’s plenty of space to move around without the stress of a crowded city. It’s vibrant without being overwhelming, offering lots to see and do while still feeling comfortable and welcoming. The only thing to be aware of is that winters can feel quite cold and moist, so good layers are a must.

Monkstown itself is small but has everything you need.
Monkstown itself is small but has everything you need. We stayed at The Bosun which has nice homely accommodation and a really fine restaurant attached. There is a bar next to it called The Ensign, It has TV's for every sport, Darts, and outside heated area and the friendliest staff you can hope for. There is a 5 minute ferry that you drive your car on and off to cross the river to Cobh where there are more options should you wish.

The Blarney Castle was a challenge, taking children up or going up with high heels or anything that is not good foot gear , I would not recommend. Steps are wet and steep. Very tight stairwell. Scary . However it took us a bit to go up. And we made it. Going down is easier. A bucket list for sure.

Went with an almost 4 year old - there was plenty for him to be entertained by. There is a lovely playground along the pier (and a smaller one very close to the town centre also at the sea front) and he also enjoyed watching the passing boats and a cruise ship. We also went to Titanic museum which he enjoyed.
Outstanding host, outstanding breakfast, outstanding views! Room had great view, was clean and comfortable. We hated to leave. Conin's had THE best fish n chips and delicious tarter sauce. Close to Kinsale but far less hectic.

What we saw of the countryside as we drove through was beautiful. Unfortunately we didn't have lots of time to see that much. We ate breakfast at Grey Gables (our accommodation) and then headed out for the day.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic, every single person working there were so friendly and helpful. Food was amazing as was the service. Drivers were always available for drop offs and pickups and were so chatty. Could not fault it and would recommend it to everyone.
Will look forward to coming back again.

I am not a fan of large cities as a rule, but Cork is the exception. It is a lovely city with lots to see. The food scene is fantastic. I got to treat myself to beignets and a pumpkin pie at Bayou (on MacCurtain Street in the Victorian Quarter). The English Market is a must-see and my favourite place for Hederman's smoked butter. Although everyone talks about Blarney Castle for its stone, I recommend exploring the surrounding castle grounds. The Poison Garden, carnivorous courtyard, wishing steps, witches' kitchen, druids' cave, fairy glade, dolmen, and sacrificial altar have something for everyone to marvel at. If relaxing is your goal, consider checking out Zero Gravity Float (Edenhall, Model Farm Rd.) near Munster Technological University.
