I only booked as a sleep over on the way to Shannon. What a surprise to see it was a very professionally managed establishment. There was a bar and restaurant albeit we were not hungry. The room had a four poster bed. It was so traditional but not contrived like the touristy castles. We slept so well in a fab comfortable bed. The room was very big. Table and chairs, walk in wardrobe/ dressing room. It is a fine country house from a bygone Anglo Irish day. It was Christmas week and there was a display of country Christmas hampers for sale with local produce in the lobby. Very reasonably priced compared to the rubbish in the big shops in Dublin. No pressure to sell either. I would certainly stay again and hopefully have time for breakfast next time. We loved it. Thanks to all the staff.

Nicely decorated and clean place, close to the airport (we walked from there). A lot of amneties and quite a few things for breakfast (home-made scones, jam, butter, milk, cereals). The communication with the host was very efficient and we had a lot of privacy. Everything was fine, highly recommended!

Treacys Oakwood Hotel, Shannon is located in the heart of Shannon’s town centre, next to the Skycourt shopping centre and only 5.1 km drive from the Shannon Airport. Everything it's a fabulous hotel right beside shannon airport

We stayed for 3 weeks while waiting for our new house to be ready and the property provided everything we could possibly have needed.

Our room was immaculately clean, extremely comfortable, and well appointed. Bunratty is only a few minutes' drive away, and it offers plenty of choices for dinner.Dariena offers plenty of choice for breakfast also, which was delicious and generous. A lovely view over the green fields to the river. This B&B was the stand out of our 3 week trip from Australia. Thank you!
