The hosts are extremely nice, and what a delicious breakfast! While returning to Cochin, we really forgot the stress and refreshed. The environment was awesome. Special kudos for being a pet-friendly place. a neat and clean environment. I must say I will definitely come back with my family again.

If you are travelling to enjoy drinks and relaxation then this is not the place. This area falls under Tamil Nadu jurisdiction and hence if you buy booze and drive out you will be held by the police who will seize the liquor and then impose fine. Will be harassed badly. Jam packed small streets and not worth staying.

Aurivill beach least crowded. Local market is cheap. White town expensive they charge double price for 1 l bottle, couple photo happens generally here. I tried gelato and waffle it wase awesome. We stay for 2 days and I think it's enough to visit pondicherry. Rock beach people will approach you for mangrove forest motor boat ride.

We arrived on a Sunday at the Visitors Information Centre. There was a French elderly man who seemed to be very unpleasant with the work he's doing as he kept answering people as if scolding a child and with a very arrogant manner. It's a pitty to see how the sole purpose of such a community land has been invaded and districted by foreigners.

A funny old place.
A funny old place. Clearly the old French area - worryingly named White Town - seems to have been preserved as a cultural curiosity. It is lovely that a sea walk has been blocked from traffic, is this unique in India. It make for a peaceful walk. It is indeed curious to see vestiges of French imperialism here and these are clearly still integrated into the local life - such as the Hotel de Ville which still functions as the Municipal centre and the cops wear a Képi which of course does not make them any less coplike. The food - Madame Shastre’s is worth a shout out. Le Cédille Heritage Homestay was very calm, charming and relaxing place to stay. While the focus is on the French, the vibrant Tamil and colourful Hindu areas with fascinating temple everywhere are also worth exploring and possibly have more to offer for the discerning than vestiges of French imperialism. Great food in both areas of course and no dodgy croissants. An intriguing place which is well worth pausing in.

What can I say about my forever love on this planet🌍❤ I love Auroville since first second I entered this city. It is city of future consciousness of all humanity. It is fantastic, creative, awesome, not from Earth - city of Sunrise.Matrimandir - the spaceship to the different dimensions. I can say a lot about this super Mother and Sri Aurobindo place - but you have to feel and visit with your energy itself. You will be happy definitely!!! My guarantee is there.Out of words🌍🌺🌸🌼🌹
