This hotel is only 100 metres from Keflavík International Airport and 25 minutes’ drive from the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa. WiFi is free during your stay. Very convenient for terminal and also car rental return. Waitress in hotel restaurant was amazing and food and service were good. Comfy beds and a good night’s sleep.

Situated in Keflavík, 20 km from Blue Lagoon, Courtyard by Marriott Reykjavik Keflavik Airport features accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant. Room was spacious and quiet. Tokyo Sushi provided a delicious , freshly prepared meal which we ate in our room. Used the airport shuttle which was quick and punctual . Every staff member we interacted was friendly , helpful and efficient.

Iceland is new to us so without spending a lot of time planning an itinerary for a destination we are totally unfamiliar with, a compact camper van makes a lot more sense because it provides a lot of flexibility while the overall cost is comparable if not lower than rental of a car plus hotel. Our previous tour of Newfoundland was in a SUV and the compact camper van experience is definitely better.
