One of the best places we've stayed in Iceland. The staff are adorable and attentive, the room very pleasant and the bedding of a very high quality. We also took advantage of the SPA area (highly recommended!) where several baths and treatments are available, and the restaurant buffet was very good. The hotel as a whole is extremely comfortable, with different relaxation areas, different atmospheres and lots of peace and quiet. One of the most beautiful discoveries of Reykjavik, we will return without hesitation!

Well appointed self catering apartment.Had everything we needed to prepare meals.Conveniently located across the road from BSI bus terminal and also Straeto bus stop.On our last night ,saw the Northern lights from our apartment.

it is most convenient being just across the road from the BSI bus station, the staff was helpful with quick and thoughtful responses, and the little house was cosy and clean and everything that a traveller would need!

Pretty good location, even though it's outside of the city center - it's easy to access straight from the airport, and easy to get to the all the attractions. Apartment was very nice and clean, and contact with the owner flawless.The playground behind the house looked very nice, but we couldn't use it because it was raining the whole time...

Quiet neighborhood, lovely genuine guesthouse, plenty of free parking, decent breakfast including great handmade bread. I stayed four nights in Reykjavik and unfortunately only one of them was at Alba; I now wish I had booked all of them there. The couple running the premises were just great. I don’t know where all those comments about the “grumpy old man” come from, but my guess is that you must have been a real piece of work to make that lovely man lose his temper.

Everything was amazing, but above all, our host Youssef, who helped us with absolutely everything. We are a family with an 8-month-old baby, and Youssef was always available to support us in every way—from carrying the baby to making sure everything was perfect to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Our flight was canceled due to the bankruptcy of the Icelandic low-cost airline, and here we found a home away from home. The place is close to the city center. The rooms are clean, with comfortable mattresses and pillows, and the heating is excellent. There is a large kitchen fully equipped with cookware and water, and they provide tea and coffee. There are many spacious showers available, and the bathrooms are always clean. Free parking is right outside, and there is a quiet lounge area with sofas to relax.
