The room was specious and the bathrooms were modern. We were even able to wash our clothes as the owner let us use her washing machine and dryer in the basement! Everything was great. House was clean. Bonus that there's a washer and a dryer in the bathroom. Our host Karen was so lovely and spoilt us with all the food she brought. She is very quick to respond to my queries. Wifi connection - excellent! Such a shame we were only there for 1 night.

Besides all extremely good, cozy and comfort with the room and sleeping conditions, this stay won the prize of “the best breakfast in Iceland” for this vacations.

Fálki cottages is located in Þórshöfn. This holiday home provides free private parking and private check-in and check-out. It was the best place we stayed in Iceland. Serene setting, cozy amenity, wonderful cabin. We would like to stay for more days next time when we visit Iceland again.

The house in the sleepy, remote village is one of the few accommodations in the area offering all amenities (including a washer and dryer) and the comfort of staying alone. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. Overall, the house possesses some continental European flair, which feels nice.

Distant and tranquil location, real old style house. Read the description and you will not have a reason of writing negative reviews like “this is not what I have expected”. The owner is very generous and welcoming, and the accommodation was just as described. I would stay again if I end up in this village on my next Iceland trips.

It was well located, clean and super comfy. I would definitely recommend the stay for anybody who’s traveling through and needs a great place to sleep.

Set in Kópasker and only 36 km from Jokulsargljufur, Melar Guesthouse offers accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. A hot tub is available for guests. Beautiful house with very well equiped kitchen. Big bonus - hot tubs outside plus beach in front, where we took a cold dip to the sea. What is more, there are extra towels and even swimming suits in a bathroom which you can use for hot tubs, in case forgot your own.

Located in Skinnastadir, Dettifoss Guesthouse is 25 km north of Dettifoss Waterfall. It offers simple, modern rooms with shared bathrooms. WiFi and parking are free. Location to the Asbygi region. The guesthouse has fully updated WCs and kitchen. The rooms are a nice size. The common areas are well designed. We enjoyed lunch on a sunny patio.
