Located in Skinnastadir, Dettifoss Guesthouse is 25 km north of Dettifoss Waterfall. It offers simple, modern rooms with shared bathrooms. WiFi and parking are free. The guesthouse exceeded my expectations. It was comfortable, modern. Each window opened up a wonderful view of the surroundings. A perfect place for a peaceful stay in nature, but about an hour away from tourist spots like Myvatn and Husavik. We had all we needed and enjoyed our stay.

It was only a few minutes drive to the small supermarket and cafe as well as the Visitor Centre. The host was friendly and helpful.
