Situated in Catania, 18 km from Catania Piazza Duomo, Nèroli Bio Relais features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. We were looking for a peaceful, quiet retreat in the countryside to unwind and enjoy great food—and that’s exactly what we found. The location is quite remote, so the only way to get there is by car. We highly recommend renting a car or using your own, as relying on taxis can get expensive. There is ample parking available, with the added bonus of solar panels covering the parked cars. The staff were incredibly friendly, spoke excellent English, and made us feel very welcome. We stayed in a Double Room with a Terrace. In addition to the main entrance, the room had its own private entry through a gate. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, and the air conditioning actually worked, which is a rarity in many hotels. The room was a lovely mix of old-world charm and modern amenities, with the original flooring from the monastery adding a special touch. The only downside was the small bathroom, and the shower had a slow drain, but it didn’t detract too much from the overall experience. Breakfast was simple yet delicious. While the variety wasn’t extensive, everything we had was fresh and satisfying: scrambled eggs, homemade polpette, flans, Sicilian pastries, and cakes. You could also order eggs to your liking, along with freshly squeezed grapefruit and blood orange juice, and any coffee you wanted. We dined at the hotel for both lunch and dinner, and while the menu was small with similarly-sized portions, the quality and flavor were exceptional. However, note that there are no snack shops or stores nearby, so it’s a good idea to bring your own snacks and water if you plan on staying on the property. Although we didn’t use the pool because it was still a bit too cold, it appeared to be a good size, albeit shallow. The surroundings were incredibly tranquil, with fields of olive and citrus trees, vines, and even some animals like bees, chickens, tortoises, and cats.

Beautiful property, classy old world charm. I would happily live in my room! We were very well looked after by the kind and attentive hostess, wine was lovely, beautiful swimming pool and surrounding area to walk in (vineyards)

The location was private and very relaxing, the pool was a very good size for all of us to enjoy and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

The villa is very large and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen. The location is near a grocery store and a nice suburban town with a few restaurant options, and it is within 1-2 hours driving distance of all the best tourist cities on the east coast of Sicily. The host was very responsive and kind, and clearly takes pride in the property. He is on-site to help with any needs.

Located in Misterbianco, Anna e Gaetano is a recently renovated accommodation, 10 km from Catania Piazza Duomo and 10 km from Roman Theatre of Catania. For what we wanted: a quiet place, close enough to the airport, with restaurants and shops nearby and good space.... well this studio apartment with ample garden and safe parking, suited us perfectly.
