About 7 min away from the airport, amazing if you have an early flight or you are arriving late in the night. The host was great, texted the instructions with pictures and provided soft drinks and snacks. The place also has socket adapter if needed.

I love Reggio Calabria.
I love Reggio Calabria. I think it is under-rated by tourists. At Christmas the Main Street was a marvel, decorated beautifully with lovely tiny twinkling lights everywhere. The stores are beautiful, easily rival larger cities. The Bronzi di Riace in the Museo Nazionale are stunningly beautiful. And the other artefacts perfectly organized and displayed are fascinating. The museum is organized by finds of archeological digs. I have visited Reggio 3 times already and plan to return often.

I have stayed at this facility at least 5 times.
I have stayed at this facility at least 5 times. The location is perfect for me and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They have always accommodated me with a room upgrade and diet restrictions. I go back because of this.
The only negative is I wish they would upgrade the beds. My body is getting old and I need a little more cush.
I love going across the street for a morning or evening walk on the beach. Restaurants are within walking distance as well. The price is very reasonable.

Great location to visit with amazing views over the city and water. I went both up the hill/mountain to an old fort and to the Faro Torre beach which was amazing. The food was great. The city was a lot of hills if you don`t mind the light cardio you are good.

The seafront area is really nice, with a great view across to Sicily and the Straits of Messina. We didn't find a lot of dining options down there, but there are apparently a couple of good restaurants in the neighbourhood. The traffic, as in all Italian towns and cities, is pretty frantic, and parking isn't easy at all, but it's worth a visit/stop en route to the ferry for Sicily, as it has quite a nice atmosphere and outlook.

Reggio Calabria was the best city of 5 cities I visited in italy during my stay.
And my one week stay at reggio calabria. was to short . Next time I visiting I will stay at least 14 days to be able to see and explore the city.

There is one thing that I will recommend any and all visitors to italy make shore to agree with the taxi driver about a price before you using a taxi at any airport or railways station in italy. Otherwise ,
They will charge you at least three times the price for the taxi trip.

Gallico Marina is a great location to stay in.
Gallico Marina is a great location to stay in. It offers a good beach, with a marvelous view of Medina, and most Hostels are quite affordable, which makes it an attractive option for those wishing to spend their time in other places such as Scilla, where prices are usually much higher.

For the city itself, I had one night there and most of one day, For craft beer lovers, Beer Bang is a great place to go for choice of beer, friendly staff and atmosphere. Daytime, I saw a lot of the city but there were a couple of places that I didn't have time to visit. If I'd been there longer I would also have travelled up and down the coastline a bit more, it appears to be attractive. Ferry port/station easy to find/navigate from.

Villa San Giovanni is a place of transit.
Villa San Giovanni is a place of transit. It is very small, not very pretty and when we were there, the "lungo mare" was still under construction. Villa San Giovanni is perfect as a base to go to another place, as the trains are well connected and easy but don't expect something from the city itself.

We stayed at a hotel by the Lungomare and enjoyed this walkway along the ocean with the breathtaking views. The Cathedral is beautiful, and the museums are amazing. Walking to see everything is quite easy and lovely. Artwork is visible wherever you look!

Messina has a reputation for being a 'just passing through' transit town. We stopped for just one night en-route to the north coast. The atmosphere and 'feel' of the city was easy-going and pleasant - in retrospect, we could easily have spent another night or two exploring and sight-seeing.
