Where do I start? This was an unexpected Gem. Used as a stop for convenience to be able to drop our car at the airport early in the morning but we wish we had used this for other than that! Firstly, Lucia was a delight. So welcoming and we found common ground with her which was amazing. Sophie the dog was a cute extra addition.
Everything about this place was amazing. The pictures don’t do it justice. So cosy and welcoming and all the little details Lucia did made it that special. The little terrace at the top with lights in the evening to watch the sunset was gorgeous.
Everything and more competing with the modern airbnbs, with all amenities. Beautiful, new furnishings etc.
Would 100% return and would recommend anyone to book!

We booked a room at Casale Laurus to be handy for Trapani Airport and it was an unexpected treat for our last night in Sicily. Host Caterina put us in touch with a airport taxi service and arranged for the delivery of pizza for an evening meal, which we enjoyed on the terrace with a view over the immaculate fruit and vegetable farmland surrounding her farmhouse, which is part 17th Century and part modern. Guest bedrooms are on the first floor and she served us a much better than usual Sicilian breakfast, with fresh fruit, nuts and yogurt as well as jams and pastries, in the salon downstairs. A peaceful night in a comfortable room - thank you.

The apartment itself was very clean, modern, and well-equipped – we had everything we needed, from the comfortable beds to the fully equipped kitchen. Another great feature was the spacious balcony with a jazzy lounge, where we could relax with our morning coffee. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, always available to answer any questions. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in excellent surroundings. We will definitely be back!

Lo Stagnone and specifically the area of Birgi Vecchi is just great. It's a magnificent place to kite and though it attracts a lot of tourists, it never has that commercial tourism feeling. It feels like the location is yours.

Trapani centre and old town was beautiful. We walked everywhere with ease. We used it as a base for day trips to Favignana and Erice. Felt very safe walking around at night. Beautiful views from the old town of the bay and Erice at night.

The information about the accommodation is a lie and the landlord is extremely unfriendly. It was said that all rooms have a balcony and access to the terrace with sea view. My room only had a window to the light well without fresh air. There is no terrace with sea view, just a concrete roof with no shade and furniture overlooking the neighborhood.
I have still not received a proper invoice to be able to charge for the business trip. I didn't even get enough toilet paper, nor did the equipment in the rooms meet the standard.

The city was pleasant and active.
The city was pleasant and active. The area by the port however was being used as a dumping ground for rubbish and smelled bad, when it would have been a suitable place for a nature reserve. The beaches are some way out of the city.

The best part of our trip to Sicily was staying in Favignana for a couple of nights. I would say that 3 nights would have been perfect. I highly recommend renting your own boat and renting bikes to explore the island as much as possible.

We liked Trapani a lot - it was a loose, laid back town with excellent food and friendly people. It was lively but not hectic, it had an active feel but not frantic. There were some tourists, but the town had the feeling of not relying too much on them, and of having a life and identity of its own.

Marsala is not that big, the city center is small but charming, a part from that it is not that safe outside the center.
The streets are devoided of people and you feel unsafe, my gf got catcalled from the balcony of a house.
Honestly I would just visit a single day and stay elsewhere like Trapani or Mazara del Vallo.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this place.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this place. It was a very friendly environment, and unlike the main island, there was no trash littering the area. It was great to see that the main mode of transportation there was by bicycles. The food was also great, but it was a bit overpriced.

Trapani was a bit of a disappointment.
Trapani was a bit of a disappointment. Especially if you're trying to compare it to Noto, Ragusa, and Modica, for example. That comparison isn't really possible/shouldn't be made. If you're coming from Agrigento, continue on to Castellammare del Golfo. And on the way there, be sure to visit Erice. It's truly beautiful little place on a mountain. And the views are stunning, too.

Marsala is a historic port town in western Sicily, known for its good wines. We also bought some very good sweets from Il Forno, run by local people. Wine-tasting event is a must... It was the perfect stop before leaving for Trapani airport
