Although we arrived in the morning due to our flight home being cancelled, they managed to find us rooms that were already ready so that we could drop our bags and go into Verona. The information both in the rooms and provided by the reception staff was really helpful both for getting into Verona and for eating locally in the evening. The shuttle bus service to the airport the following morning was an added bonus and very efficient. They turned a nightmare situation of cancelled flights into an enjoyable extra day's holiday!

The restaurant was a hidden gem and a big pleasant surprise. Hands down one of the best meals we’ve had. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we get a taxi to the airport at 4AM on a Sunday. There is nothing bad to say about this stay. If you already have a place to stay and just want good authentic Italian food in the neighborhood, please give yourself a favor and to go to the restaurant. The Hotel Gattopardo is a friendly and welcoming establishment conveniently located close to Verona airport and just 10 minutes by car to the centre. Friendly and helpful staff, spacious room with shutters and well-working air-conditioning, good bathroom, very clean, good breakfast.. What's not to like! Easily reached on foot from the airport, by local train from Verona Porta Nuova (appr. 1x/hour) or bus 158 or 159 from the bus station (does not show on AVT app but does exist, appr 1x/hour as well). Pizzerias nearby as well. Great option for exploring Verona!
