it was very conveniently located near the airport and car rentals. The hotel had a nice onsen facility. The room was spacious, we fell asleep with the sound of river behind our window. it was nice to move ariund the hotel barefoot

The little pension is run by a lovely grandma and grandpa. Very welcoming, even though there was a language barrier, as they do not speak English, we managed to get the point across via translation apps. They offer yummy breakfast and can prepare nice bento for you if you ask for it for lunch. The location is great, near the airport, however car is optimal for the best experience. The location of the pension is close to all of the main routes and key activities. We were staying in the private bathroom room and were happy with the facilities.

The owner of the hotel was very hospitable. Ecquiped with Google translator and brought me late at night to grocery shop! Such a lovely plave in the nature. Recommended!!

It was hands down the best place I've stayed in Japan so far! Huge rooms with lots of space. Great amenities. Had an ocean view from upstairs which was incredible. It was very easy to find and had parking available. We had such a lovely stay and our hosts were super communicative and friendly! Would highly recommend.

At Cottage Morinokokage, guests can rent out a cottage with a hammock. Free WiFi is available in the guest rooms.

The cottage had everything we wanted and needed, so did the grounds and service provided. The property had washing machines with detergent and vending machines with snacks, heatable meals and drinks. Our room was clean and well-equipped with a little kitchen, nice toilet and a tv. The porch had a nice relaxing area with a bench and even a hammock you can hang up yourself. The owner is very conscientious and considerate, he’s thought of everything! There’s even a massager in the room if you are hiking as well as a foldable drying rack (with a place to hang it). He also helped us to book a car last minute and is always very responsive even when not around on the property. Highly recommend. :)

Amazing food for beakfast, the host was super lovely, the location is close to everything (I really recommend renting a car for get the most out of Yakushima). The rooms were small but had everything needed.

It was a great pleasure to stay at the place. The barbecue option is a find! It made our stay unforgettable. The beds were very comfortable, house is spotless, kitchen is functional. Owner responds quickly and is very helpful. There’s an option to order the lunch boxes for a hike. Thank you very much and we hope to come back!
