The Peace House - Siem Reap, a property with a bar, is set in Phumĭ Sândăn, 8 km from Angkor Wat, 8.9 km from King's Road Angkor, as well as 4.4 km from Cambodian Cultural Village. Very convenient to the airport. Restaurant outside the door. Menu had a lot of frog and we could hear them everywhere ! Staff didn't know anything about liquor in the bar but we found this funny rather than upsetting. For $24 you can't beat it

My wife and I traveled to Siem Reap, Cambodia, like many others, to experience the beauty and magic of Angkor Wat. This trip was part of a two-month journey through Southeast Asia and Japan. Even though we don't belong to the youngest generation we enjoy organizing our travels ourselves, and this year was no exception. Cambodia was a new country for us, and the main challenge was deciding where to stay. By chance, we discovered Koemle Homestay. We prefer to avoid hotels in favor of experiencing local life and culture as much as possible. Staying with the Koemle family turned out to be as enriching an experience as visiting the ancient temples of Siem Reap. As agreed, Koemle picked us up at the airport upon our arrival - on time and in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan. It felt like we had already become friends during the 50-minute drive to his home. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by his entire family: his lovely wife, Chinda, and their four wonderful children—Maryta, Elliya, Outra, and baby Kitakun. Koemle Homestay is a small apartment attached to the family’s main house. It has a separate entrance with a tinted glass door, a spacious main room with two very comfortable beds (comparable to U.S. queen-sized beds), and a large bathroom featuring a glass-enclosed shower. Everything was clean and very comfortable. The living area is tastefully decorated with a few pieces of furniture, a wardrobe, and amazing large photographs taken by Koemle Saing himself (he is a professional photographer). The apartment also has a small front yard filled with tropical greenery, providing a shaded oasis from Cambodia’s hot and humid weather. We usually enjoyed our breakfasts right there. The house Is located on the outskirts of the city, far enough to offer a taste of Cambodian countryside life yet close enough to reach Pub Street within about 15 minutes by tuk-tuk. After our experience, we wouldn’t trade this type of stay for any hotel in the city at all.

Nestled within private tropical gardens, La Palmeraie d’Angkor offers accommodation with private balconies and features an outdoor swimming pool. We liked everything! The hotel is enchanting, set in beautifully green and wellkept gardens. The perfect retreat from the stresses and strains of everyday life, so peaceful and quiet. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, the pool is great. The breakfast with handmade jams and all sorts of homemade bread, and the dinner were delicious. Most of all, merci beaucoup a Frederic for his generosity, kind advice and arrangements, and big thanks to all the friendly and competent staff who did everything to make our 15 days stay such a beautiful experience.

I stayed at the hotel for 17 days, lovely hotel, excellent chef, food was amazing. What made my stay exceptional was the staff, receptionists, cleaning staff, waiters, always smiling, always going out of their way to to make sure I had everything I needed from organising day trips to answering any questions I had. I thoroughly recommend this hotel!

The homestay is in a cute neighborhood 10mins away from the city center, which makes it quiet and relaxing without traffic noise. Sok Phen and his family and staff makes you feel very welcomed anytime, they looked after me and organized transport when I needed and were very helpful, warm and kind. The bungalow was clean with a homely flair and very comfy big bed and a cosy porch, I didn’t miss anything. Great value for the price and amazing always smiling staff, I would always book again!

Boasting a balcony with lake views, a garden and a bar, Bunyong Homestay can be found in Siem Reap, close to Cambodian Cultural Village and 5.5 km from King's Road Angkor. I really liked this place because of its authenticity (house instead of hotel, meals at one table with a big family, etc.), that is, I did not feel like a simple tourist because I was always next to a local resident, ready to help me with the choice of special activities. After I finished the standard set of activities for tourists, I discovered many places that tourists do not even suspect, unless of course they thoroughly explore the topic. As a result, in a few days we drove more than a thousand kilometers and got into an unimaginable wilderness, which I was completely delighted with. I recommend this place to anyone looking for non-standard adventures.

The overall appearance of the hotel is just charming - the staff super friendly and service oriented, probably the largest and best pool in whole Siem Reap for real swimmers, excellent garden, very well kept, unique samples from the historic times of Angkor Wat. Excellent breakfast buffet with western and asian features.Very suitable also for long term stays.
