We were looking for accommodation near the katharagama and we encountered the accommodation of Diana and his husbands place. It is soooooo beautiful, a real pearl in the middle of a green jungle and a paddy field. Two EXCELLENT (((((!!) clean room equipped with everything you need, beautiful setting, beautiful room (we moved the outside bathroom).
Diana and his husband are very helpful, very welcoming, open-minded and are excellent hosts. we were offered a local dinner on site (not too spicy for tourists), super good!!!.
Everyone was very friendly and welcoming.
they organized the village Safari Tour for us free of charge. We had a great driver and a terrific safari. Excellent local breakfast! I recommend this hotel 100%.
Unbeatable value for money!
If we had not already booked an accommodation in galle, - we would have stayed another one or two nights.

We stayed only one night in this place, but it was enough to fall in love with it. Nandan was incredibly kind and attentive to every detail of our stay, making us feel truly welcome. We stayed at the new Villa. That was perfect for family since it’s huge two story villa and has a private pool.
Initially I was bit nervous because there were almost no information about this villa. But we recognized that’s because this facility opened in the end of this month (Dec. 2024).
Once my family arrived at this villa, we were immediately fascinated by this villa and great hospitality of the staff.
I can recommend this although the gramping camp sites should be also good.
In addition, location is good. We can enjoy game safaris for both Yala National Park and Udawalawe National Park since it’s located between both national parks.
Finally, I was very satisfied with the email communication with Ms. Sonali Lowe (Manager - Sales & Reservations) prior to our stay, as it was both prompt and precise.

It should be on everyone’s itinerary! The safari was amazing- go for the all day! And Jami Riverside Hotel is run by a wonderful host couple and the accommodations were comfortable, clean and affordable. They will make all the safari arrangements with the park for you if you wish. The White House Inn is a fantastic place to stay in Thissamaharama. It’s situated in a calm and natural setting, making it perfect for relaxation. The inn is also very close to the Yala National Park, which is great for those looking to go on safari.
The hotel is clean and comfortable, providing a welcoming atmosphere. The spacious lobby area is a nice spot to unwind. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, offering excellent service throughout our stay.
One of the highlights was the food. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner, and the Sri Lankan dishes were absolutely delicious. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at the White House Inn and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

We were extremely satisfied with the hotel and its beautiful surroundings. Everything exceeded our expectations.
We took lots of photos & are sharing them with friends. The restaurants,Roof bar,Spa's and the pool side and pool is world class with out doubt!
The service was outstanding, and that is something that can really make or break a vacation. Congratulations to the Super Proactive General Manager Mr Krishanta Damunupola and his team members to include Mr Seeman and Miss Sandani(Intern) for being so accommodating at all times with oodles of dedication. We also especially liked the super-comfy room with the balcony, bed linens which were very high quality, and felt so good to slip into each night. Thanks so much for a lovely visit.We'll be singing your praises for a long time. Thanks!

Tissamaharama is a fantastic base for anyone looking to explore the natural beauty and rich culture of southern Sri Lanka. It's perfectly located for Yala National Park safaris, offering easy access to incredible wildlife encounters. Beyond the safaris, the town itself has a calm, local vibe with beautiful lakes and ancient temples to discover. You'll find plenty of local restaurants and shops, making it easy to enjoy authentic Sri Lankan experiences. It's a great spot for both adventure and relaxation, and I highly recommend spending some time here!

The Location is amazing.
The Location is amazing. We can sip a Beer looking at the Weerawila Lake or the Yala Sanctuary. Resort has a huge pool that can be used by so many guests. The Front Office Staff was well aware of the Resort features and the standards. Restaurant Staff was so friendly and helpful. Also the Resort is maintaining good safety measures for Covid.

The owner of Serenity lake advices us to visit Yala safari, Sithul pawwa magul viharaya and sithul pawwa a super history with beautiful scenery,
which we did and we're very grateful for his advice.
We returned to the serenity lake to have lunch before heading off.
Requested for a village kind of lunch with the local veggies and it was served on a lotus leaf...
The most delicious meal it was.
We had lunch at Reds and at the Serenity lake .
