Viluveli is a great choice for a relatively low budget retreat with much of the perks of more luxurous locations. Its located few feet from a gorgeous sandy white beach and spectacular blue waters. This is usually accompanied with a constant refreshing breeze from the sea and you could just sit at the beach to enjoy the view and cool relaxing wind for hours. Also despite being so close to the beach its also relatively close to the heart island. Most of the shops and eateries are a 15 minute walk away so you are not trapped in a remote location and can easily get back to civilization. There is a reasonably sized clean swimming pool which can be refreshing as the sea itself maybe difficult to swim for some inexperienced swimmers due to the relatively strong waves which are present most of the day. They also offer free snorkelling gear for those interested. The staff is friendly and quite helpful. The wifi is great with good connectivity. The room was clean and comfy as well with overall good service.

Situated along the shores of Hanimaadhoo, The Barefoot Eco Hotel offers tranquil and comfortable accommodation with free WiFi access throughout the property. Well, I expected this place to be clean, remote from Male, meaning more beautiful and I am happy I made a choice and came here. Absolutely beautiful. I booked full board and I don’t regret it. I had a good appetite during my holiday. The hotel times shifts to +1 hr, so prepare to not miss any of the meals. Breakfast 7:45-10:15, lunch 13:00-14:30 and dinner 20:00-21:30. There is plenty to choose from, vegetables and fruits, every dinner and lunch variety of fish and meat. For breakfast you can ask eggs and pancakes to be prepared. I really liked that it was not many people in hotel and it felt very cool. Sunbeds on the beach, take any. I had a double room with patio and I just had the one closest to the beach. Perfect! Bins for plastic and paper everywhere on the territory. I saw someone complained of going to the bar and get a drink, I thought that would be a problem but in reality it wasn’t. We could give the order and drinks were delivered. Anyways walking 2-3 minutes to the bar and to enjoy and view is never an issue. The area is in the forest so there are lots of trees and palm trees. I felt similar like in Bali in Ubud. Water is provided in the room, tea and coffee sachets. There are plenty of excursions provided by diving center, choose and go. I liked that hotel provided 2 times a week a complimentary snorkelling trip. Yoga in the morning is also free and you just need to make an effort to wake up) I didn’t really use a swimming pool as I was more attracted to the ocean but pool is nice. There is no alcohol as it is not allowed but there is a little boat with boat bar and you can go there in the evening at 18:00 and 21:30 and enjoy a drink or two or three. I also used laundry facilities.

Hondaafushi Island Resort is full of greenery and nature. All our bungalows are fully detached and beach facing. Each bungalow offers lots of privacy for the guests. O quarto era fantástico, super espaçoso e bem decorado. Adoramos a comida, apesar de só existir um restaurante, havia todos os dias uma noite temática e a comida ia sempre variando! O nosso quarto ficava muito bem localizado, caminhando pela praia conseguíamos facilmente estar no restaurante e/ou na piscina/bar. Os sunsets na piscina eram os meus momentos favoritos do dia, os snacks que eles serviam também eram óptimos. Adoramos a Cocktail party! Empregados sempre atenciosos e com imensa prontidão a resolver qualquer problema que surja. A ilha tem imenso espaço para fazer caminhadas, tanto pela costa como pelo interior.
