Weak wifi. Lots of corals that hurt the feet, shoes are necessary, seaweed in the afternoon (see pictures). Unsuitable for swimming: shallow water - ankle-deep at low tide and waist-deep at high tide. There is a manmade swimming channel in front of the bar, quite limited. Therefore, the only snorkeling possible is through an excursion. We tried swimming in the lake, but the water is very warm there, it’s like swimming in a bathtub and in addition the water is dirty (see pictures). There is a pipe bringing the sewage of the hotel to the open ocean from behind the port, you can even see it on the satellite if you look closely. Depending on tide/current, this water comes back into the lake. Apart from lack of beach/swimming, the worst was the transfer issues and the complete disregard of customers.

Good size bedrooms, comfortable beds, ac and fan, covered spot to put surfboards away. The staff are amazing, the girls (Bidi and Rose)are just incredible! Always happy, organized, and cook super well. The captains know the surf spots very well and are super ok to help with photos! Ahmed made us feel welcomed and help us in many ways with ferry tickets to other islands and accommodation. Everyone is always helpful and friendly. The island is beautiful, of course the plastic is a problem like other islands, but I'm sure the council has a plan to fix it soon. The surf spots are incredible! Three surf spots just around... Only one for beginners !

The staff (Roshani) was absolutely fantastic… very gracious, helpful and always a smile :) The owner, Ahmed, went above and beyond! Assisted with many questions and booked my boat to and from Male. Very helpful. Thimarafushi is a small, quiet island for relaxation, and snorkeling day trips.

I wish everyone could experience a vacation like this. It’s different from other resorts in the Maldives because, with a capacity of around 20 people, you are not just a guest but part of the family. Everyone can do their own thing. If you want an active vacation, you can book a trip at the reception. If you just want to relax, the private beach, rooftop, gym, or spa is the perfect place for you. The hotel is located on Thimarafushi Island, and everyone is incredibly welcoming. Even if you’re traveling alone as a woman, there’s no sense of threat. A big plus is the lounge just across the street, where you can play games like pool, table tennis, air hockey, and more. After this vacation, where I tried surfing, snorkeling, jet skiing, and swimming with mantas, I can’t imagine going anywhere else. Even the food was delicious! I have celiac disease, which makes it harder for me, but the staff always told me what I could or couldn’t eat. If they didn’t have a gluten-free dessert, I got ice cream instead. I would like to thank the owner for the best trip of my life. I can assure you that this won’t be my last visit to this paradise.
