Shahid (host) is a person that sets value on good communication beforehand as well as on the trip itself. Before we came there, we chatted via WhatsApp about everything important (flights, diving license, prices etc.). That helped a lot because we felt informed all the way through. I wanted to dive, but my girlfriend cannot. So, she could stay on the boat, could do some snorkeling while I was diving. Shahid managed everything and paid much attention on us feeling good. We could ask him anything at any time. The stay at La Cabana was way better than expected because of the very personal contact to the super-friendly staff. All in all, the staff works in a very professional way, is reliable, open-minded, funny and makes you think of cancelling your flight back. :) We definitely would recommend staying at La Cabana. If you are looking for a family-like guesthouse offering many awesome diving and snorkeling trips, you should book here.

Located in Maamigili, Oi Beach provides air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. This guest house features a garden. Kiki the owner could not have been more amazing. Right when I got there, he picked me up, got me a coconut and said welcome to the island, you are a local now - anything you need, I will help you. He took me to his grandmothers house for dinner two different times. I got to attend a big family gathering of there and he helped me with my scuba arrangements and my jet boat transportation. An absolutely amazing human and a great place to stay.

They take care of their guests so much. Very friendly people. The food was delicious, it was so freshly and nicely cooked for us. We ordered the excursions as well. While snorkeling, we saw Manta Ray, dolphins, mini black riff sharks, and lots of different fish. Maamigili island is located 2 hours from Male, 110 km. With the good weather, it is nice to get there on a boat transfer, but if the weather gets windy and rainy, it would be better to fly back with the airplane. And of course, absolutely turquoise beach they have, a dream of Maldives. I love the water colors of Maldive islands. The Indian Ocean is so chill there. It allows you to swim safely and snorkel.

It’s small and nice buildings .in the room have air conditioning and fan the room is clean Hasan is great reception he can answer your any questions and he’s nice he keep the property really clean and the owner of the hotel is a good man he managed our tips for manta and whale shark he’s trying his best but he still need experience anyway he made up by one dinner it’s nice for me he more like my big brother he’s very helpful even he’s chasing every penny so free dinner for guests it’s a big step 😂(the costumers in here is so cool they can play guitar and sing)

Located in Maamigili in the Ari Atoll region, Vilu Residence features a patio. My boyfriend & I stayed at Vilu Residence for 16 nights and our experience could not have been better. This place is an incredible value. The level and quality of service was resort-like, and far beyond what we were expecting for the price. Sparkling clean and comfy rooms, super comfortable beds & high quality bedding, delicious homemade breakfasts every morning, walking distance to the most beautiful sunsets I’ve seen in my entire life at the Bikini Beach, close to a few great restaurants (The Chef was our favorite), super fun high quality excursions at great prices, all hosted by the most wonderful sweet family. We really could not have asked for more and will definitely plan to return. The excursions we did were: whale shark snorkeling, manta snorkeling, big game fishing (which included cooking a delicious fresh fish dinner at Vilu later that night), and the sand bank tour. I loved that all of the beach and snorkel equipment we needed was provided and beach towels were always available. I would recommend all of the excursions, but especially the sand bank tour. It was so beautiful, dreamlike, and memorable. Thank you so much Rai & family for an incredible first experience in Maamigili. Can’t wait for our next stay at Vilu!
