Me and my girlfriend loved this place. It was better for me than the pictures. The rooms were simple but well designed and timeless. The lobby was warm and greeting. Access to the pool was right out our bedroom door. The pool was clean and well lit while it was open till 10 and food and drink service at the poolside restaurant/bar was delicious. We had 2 Yucatan style authentic tacos and they were delicious.
All of the staff were very kind and friendly and made us feel extremely welcome and taken care of.

The staff was amazing. And so is the hostel. The room was quite big, with 2 bathrooms in it and very clean. There is a swimming pool as well as some hamacas. Breakfast is included.

The hosts are a very nice couple , very inviting and giving lots of interesting tips. They are open to discuss some cultural and political issues that gives a nice inside on the Mexican life .
The room and bathroom was spacious and perfect with airco if you want , also nice pool in garden to have a fresh dive , fresh free coffee available in the morning

Very close to the ADO bus station (less than 5 minutes walk). Quiet during the night - curfew is at 11pm, but at 10pm all was already quiet.

I loved walking around the Municipal Market (Mercado)...so much to see and buy there
Side trips to Valladolid and cenotes, and Xcambo and Xtampu were interesting and reasonably priced.
I also took a cooking class from Sofia at her home...a fun day with excellent Yucatecan food.

There are numerous sites to see in Merida, so book a stay that allows enough time to go on a few tours. I enjoyed the horse and carriage ride in the night - have a translator if your Spanish isn't good.

A safe, very walkable city with amazing food and great place to stay for many excursions! Friendly people and loved the warm weather! Our favorite restaurant was El Templo! We ate there twice! The food was delicious and priced reasonably!
