The Place was so clean, cozy, comfortable, the bed was soooo soft that i’m surprised i slept better than back home. I throughly enjoyed the fact that there was modern and new amenities, the hair dryer was top notch, there was organizer for the draws so my things weren’t all about. it was soooooo close to everything, we felt comfortable enough to walk and tour around for ourselves. close to food stops, cozumel ferry and so much shopping and entertainment. The hosts were responsive and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!!!!

This place is a great value for money!! The Hostal is located very close to the ADO Bus station and the central square from Playa del Carmen but it is in a quieter location so you do not hear all the noise from the pubs at night, it is a quiet area! The beach and turistic areas are located 10 to 15 minutes away. In my opinion, comparing to other places I've seen, the location was great! Regarding customer support, even though it has a self-checkin I was helped by the staff until late hours at my arrival, with a fast reply and all the help I needed, I felt very thankfull arriving from the airport alone with no internet. Their checkin system is very intelligent, as you get the codes to come in and all your sheets and towels are clean and safe in your own locker. Another thing I tought was great was the bed's size. For a bunkbed they are quite strong and you dont notice the other person getting up and down the stairs, and the bed itself is not narrow, you can sleep confortable. There is a private bathroom in the room and also a few toilets and showers outside the room. The showers have hot water. The kitchenette area has a microwave, a coffe machine and a fridge were you can keep your own food. There are enough plates and cutlery for the guests to use. There is also a lounge area with couches, a Tv and free drinkable water fountain. The outside area is very beautifull with the pool, the wall art and the plants, I really enjoyed it because the beach was too windy sometimes and it was nice to be able to relax there. Wifi always worked perfectly and was stong enough to have videocalls. My only suggestions would be to have a few hangers were we can leave the towels; to add some curtains in the beds for privacy would be perfect; the toilet doors are too close to the toilet, so for taller people it is needed to close the main door and leave the individual door open, which is fine but could be improved. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location, the place is clean and best value for your money. What comes to be the best, is the Customer Service from the people working at the place, specially Betty, she is the best.

Staff very kind, friendly and helpful. We were in 3 with a private bedroom, quite spacious and comfortable. Amzing to have a big terrage with pool. It's right in the center and a few minutes by walk from the beach, so perfect location. They let us leave the luggages and rest a bit the last day after the check-out.

By far the best thing about Playa del Carmen is the close...

By far the best thing about Playa del Carmen is the close proximity to cenotes. They are amazing water filled caves that you can explore, but you'll always need to do so with a guide. Otherwise, Playa del Carmen is pretty whatever. Kinda fun if you're looking for touristy party bar vibes (like Hard Rock Cafe type stuff), but generally it feels like a tourist trap for the most part. There are soooo many scammers here and it's really hard to tell what is a legitimate official group or just another scammer. For example, the Tulum national park entrance is filled with people selling tickets and tours as if they are park employees, but they are not. They even have constructed a fake security gate entrance to make it appear you must buy tickets before entering the park area, and of course the tickets they sell are about 4x the actual price. The beaches could be nice if they weren't filled with garbage. This is likely because many street food vendors and restaurants serve styrofoam and plastic utensils that frequently end up on the beach and broken into tiny bits. So the beaches are actually quite ugly as a result. Tren Maya is pretty useless since they decided to construct it miles inland from the towns, so it just leaves you in the middle of the jungle. Overall, I mostly just felt like I was being ripped off every day I was in Playa de Carmen and the area around it. I'd only recommend visiting a cenote or two and leaving for some place nicer.

The restaurant needs better management, Service was terrible most of the guests had to wait almost 2 hours to be served with breakfast. I got tired of that service and started to have breakfast, a better breakfast somewhere else.

If you love the sea, snorkeling and diving this is the right place for you. Fabulous sea world and fun divers brother/sisterhood. The island is also visited by many big cruise ships and that changes the intimate feel of some locations when those ships are inn.

Playa del Carmen is lively and full of energy, but the city beach can get crowded, and some areas aren’t always clean due to dogs and their activities. I would suggest staying in Playacar or nearby for a cleaner, more private beach while still being close to the city.

What a cool spot!

What a cool spot! We are definitely not the all inclusive resort kind of travelling family. So when we stumbled upon Puerto Adventuras, we were hapily impressed. There was so much to do within walking distance. There is a park, kids camps, beautiful beaches, swimming pools, amazing choice restaurants, and an overall really cool vibe. I liked it because although it felt like - yes this is definitely an international tourist destination - it also felt grounded and down to earth. In addition to the travellers who pass through, many people live and work in Puerto Adventuras giving it a really lovely family neighbourhood feel.

I have been visiting Cozumel for 15 years, for diving.

I have been visiting Cozumel for 15 years, for diving. While the people are friendly and the number of good restaurants has increased over that time, unfortunately the reef has been degraded effecting the diving experience. Its is my contention the powers that control Cozumel care more about making money from cruise ships than the environment, local people or infrastructure of Cozumel.

Beaches aren't great, to be honest.

Beaches aren't great, to be honest. They look cool from the outside. The main beaches are full (1-10 December). The one by the resort had some big rocks and wasn't very good for kids. The water looks very nice, though.

I enjoyed the natural beauty of the areas outside the touristy downtown area. I rented a scooter and drove the entire perimeter of the island (about 2 hours around without stops), but there are a few sightseeing locations, so plan a bit more time. I was there to go scuba diving and it did not disappoint. Once you get out of the touristy areas Cozumel is basically a rundown Caribbean island with not much to offer.
