The room and bathroom were very spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable. Best feature was staying in the park and being just a few minutes walk from HQ and the cafe. We had some power issues on the second night and third day but it was dealt with expeditiously. We didn't use it but there is laundry service available.

The location of this homestay is the best part about it. It's a 2 minute walk from the park entrance while still giving you the feel of being outside of the park. They kept power on the whole time so we could still charge things throughout the day and keep the fans on all night. At nights the rooms cooled down and were comfortable. The bathrooms were shared but we were the only people here so it felt private.

The room and all the house are very clean. It's located just opposite the airport (but no worries there are just few flights during the day, so they don't bother at all). Food was also delicious. This review is based on the situations in a remote place like Mulu. The stay was good. It's about 1-1.5 km from Mulu national park and airport, so it's in walkable location. The host Helena and Shania was supportive. The room had 3 single beds. Initially I thought it would be a dormitory type of stay. But they have multiple rooms. It is a budget homestay. They prepare dinner and lunch is you ask for. Prices are at par with Mulu park restaurant.

They are expanding so expect some construction during the day. Also this is not a luxury stay, but a modest homestay.

Nestled amongst the natural and lush greenery of the rainforests near the border between Malaysia and Brunei, Mulu Marriott Resort is located on Melinau Paku River in Miri. We loved our stay. A beautiful, peaceful setting, the price included buffet breakfast and dinner which were tasty, plentiful and catered for vegetarians. The staff were friendly, special call out for Donny, and professional. The accommodation was spacious and clean. The shuttle service to and from the airport and park was reliable, and there was good wifi in the bar/reception area.

Loving the pool ( opens 24/7) , the cafeteria ( serves delicious food), the breakfast, and most of all excellent hospitality ( manager is very knowledgable about the surroundings, drivers are courteous and professional). Aside from airport transfers, property also provides transfers to the National Park. Coupled with the staff service level ( always above and beyond), this is a charming property with ‘delectable’ local experience.
