From the moment you walk through those gates, you’re at home away from home. Linda and Louis do an incredible job of not only running this beautiful property, but also making you feel like you belong. Situated right there at the beach, you’ve got long walks out at low tide, swimming in high tide, palm trees for shade and a pool. It’s paradise. And if that’s not enough, Linda can hook you up with the best operators around for day excursions to the offshore islands. The cabins themselves have all that you could want, with plenty of space and a very comfortable bed. I’ll be back again, and I’m bringing friends. A big shout out to Linda who went above and beyond to help me out, when my flights out went askew. She not only kept me in the loop better than the airline, but also had contingency plans ready if things didn’t work out. Incredible service.

We loved everything about our stay, the staff were AMAZING and truly did everything they could to make sure we had a nice time and to answer any questions we had. Not to mention the views from the place, was just picture perfect paradise. Close location to other hostels that have restaurant.

I had originally booked a bungalow, but due to it being the low season the hotel manager kindly upgraded me to one of the beachfront villas. The villa offeres your a fantastic view and you wake up with the sun rising over the Indian Ocean. The bed was super comfortable, the staff kind, friendly, helpful, and easy to talk to. The common lounge area has a well stocked bar and cozy seating arrangements and hammocks. Nearby you can catch dhow cruises with local fishermen.

They pay great attention to detail and everything is done with a lot of care. I want to highlight the food, it was spectacular. Everything is homemade and the menus for lunch and dinner are very original.

Upon arrival at the airport there was someone waiting for us to bring to the villa. Although there had just been a cyclone (and the property was also hit by this violence of nature) we were compensated above expectations. Great management of the Bahia Mar family and people that will stay in the apartment I would definitely recommend multiple massages at the SPA (they are the best!)

The complimentary breakfast was a great start to the day with the ocean breeze and the staff was amazing. A man by the name of Wilson can show you amazing places that you might not know exists and knows everything about Vilankulos. My wife and i spent a lot of time with him as he showed us amazing views and treated us like gold. Very caring and knows how to to make us laugh and smile making our stay more than we expected.
