Excellent guides, wonderful experiences, superb hosts. We saw dolphins, turtles , manta ray and a dugong. Having snorkelled in many places around the world …2 mile reef was beyond spectacular. We made our own breakfast but we did have dinner and lunch. Fabulous fresh fish and seafood pizza with excellent peri peri sauce on the side. Fresh coconut juice was a win. Such wonderful staff. Good wine selection. Well priced. Loved our 3 bed villa and it was well kitted out for us to cook our fresh produce from the local sellers. We will certainly be back.

Linda not only collected us from our previous lodgings and delivered us to the airport but also stopped at the shops so that we could buy groceries; she ordered food when required and put us in touch with her fresh fish supplier so we knew that we could trust the quality and price. We were able to indulge our desire to feast on seafood, coconuts from her trees, and relax in her lush private garden. With only two cottages sharing a pool, we had it to ourselves most of the time. The leisure furniture was comfortable - a most necessary asset for a holiday near the sea. Although the kitchen surrounded the bed, it did not intrude or reduce the comfort. The bed linen is both pretty and comfortable, suited to the climate.

What an excellent place. The staff could not have been more helpful, the location at south beach was perfect, the accommodation was great, and the gardens were a beautiful bonus. We had been unsure of how and where we might eat out, but Baobab is a hotel outdoor restaurant that served a great selection of meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and was only a 3-4 minute walk down the wonderful beach. The kitchen in the cottage was well stocked with all the usual utensils and equipment. I couldn't recommend Vilancool more highly, particularly at such a good price. Book it...

The complimentary breakfast was a great start to the day with the ocean breeze and the staff was amazing. A man by the name of Wilson can show you amazing places that you might not know exists and knows everything about Vilankulos. My wife and i spent a lot of time with him as he showed us amazing views and treated us like gold. Very caring and knows how to to make us laugh and smile making our stay more than we expected.

Many locals come to help bring the fish off the boats (women carrying buckets on their head) and to buy.
