Lovely hotel just inside the gate to Sossuvlei, allowing you extended access to the park. Expensive for sure but tastefully designed and we enjoyed the food provided. Pool was ice cold but helps to compensate for the desert heat during the time of year (we came in November). Staff were super kind and accommodating. Room was comfortable. If you're not into camping but want the early access to the park, this is the way to go.

Towering over the red sand dunes of the Namib Desert, this 4-star lodge offers an outdoor pool and a dining terrace overlooking a floodlit waterhole. This place is incredible! We are so happy we chose to stay here, it was one of the highlights of our trip. The location is amazing, the rooms are fabulous and the staff and food are excellent!

The staff members were great, the star-gazing amazing and they offered a delicious self-bbq menu that we had a blast making one evening. You will not be disappointed booking this place!

I liked everything, there was a restaurant and bar if you wanted to be social but each room was also eqipped with its own kitchen/braai area. I loved the AC in the room and the beautiful view

I don’t know where to start it was just amazing beeing welcomed to this place. Our room was beyond beautiful with an outdoor bed (they‘ll arrange sheets and everything if you tell the reception) a second terrace with sunloungers, outdoorshower and another balcony right in front of your bed. Interior is very spacious with gorgeous big windows, a big comfortable bed, lounge area with the most amazing view and a very big bathroom. Minibar and coffeestation are filled up so you can enjoy a drink right when you arrive. We had Zebras right in front of the lodge when we arrived. For sundowner you can choose to visit the upper deck (up a small hill), they‘ll arrange the drink you told them in advance and also very good tapas. Thanks a lot to Willie and the second waiter for arranging our drinks last minute and for racing up the hill with them and our tapas. :) After that head right to dinner, honestly the best dinner we had during our whole holiday. The steak was amazing, the starter and the amuse guele, the soup and the dessert. Lastly the whole staff really cares and seems to really enjoy beeing there and working together you can really feel the team spirit. Its about 40min drive to Sesriem Gate (they provide early breakfast with you want to leave before sunrise) for us that was totally fine. We arrived at the gate for sunrise and at Sossusvlei in time to walk up Big Daddy before the heat. Scenery and light is amazing at this time of the day. After running down the hill to Deadvlei we drove back to the Lodge to enjoy a beautiful afternoon and evening. Only downside that we just stayed 2 nights and couldn’t enjoy a whole day at the lodge. We‘ll come back, thanks again.

We stayed 2 nights to visit Sossusvlei. You can view the sunrise and sunset by fire place. Also possible to have balloon fly of sunrise behind the hotel, in the morning we job to the backside and go up the small hill and the view was great, at night, you can have amzing milkyway after 5 course dinner which is sunrising good and fast. We did not expect this at our first stay in Namibia, it was the best start you would wish for.

Everything!! I will recommend and come back definitely. The room with a view to the waterhole is a dream come true. All the room is a dream, the bed is really comfortable and the bathroom is beautiful. The staff is amazing, the chef is an incredible human being and the food was absolutely delicious and well served. The common facilities such as the pool and the dinner and breakfast spaces are charming and beautiful, well maintained and really clean. For horse riding at sunset was unforgettable and we could see oryx very close to us. I will never forget this amazing lodge.
