Afternoon sundowners from the pool with a view to some dunes were a highlight of the trip. Fantastic location, inside the first gate to sossusvlei. Easy to arrive at the park early in the morning and avoid the crowds. Friendly and helpful staff, always eager to help. Food was very good, especially the braai night. Can’t wait to come back.

Amazing place, helpful staff, very spacious rooms, super clean and perfect spot to watch the sunset and sunrise. Great to have kitchen facilities outside the room. I wish we had more time to stay for a few nights here.

El Desert Camp ofrece alojamientos independientes de lujo con baño privado en Sesriem, en el desierto de Namib. Se encuentra a solo 5 km del Sossusvlei Lodge y cuenta con piscina al aire libre. Wow, what a place they have created in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful cottages with a groovy outdoor kitchen and bbq (that’s braii for some!). Very comfortable rooms, great hot showers, pretty good wifi in bar area only and a swimming pool too ( brrrr in june!) staff are so friendly and can provide and deliver food to your cottage. They also supply a kitchen box with all untensils, frypan, saucepan, plates etc. Electric cooktop in outside kitchen plus kettle and fridge. You just sit on your porch and admire the stunning views whilst cooking, amazing!

Great location and the watering hole meant I got to see more animals than expected. Given was an exceptional guide for my tours also.

Our guide, Paolo, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, which made the experience even more meaningful. Everything about Hoodia Lodge felt deeply personal and special. It’s one of those rare places that touches your heart — a place I would return to in a heartbeat. It truly felt like home.
