Etango Ranch Guest Farm is situated just 10 minutes' drive away from Windhoek International Airport in a rural property. Very close to the airport for an early morning flight. But also a peaceful, quiet spot in the bush with the usual game to see. The dinner was both tasty and well-presented. We would have loved to stay and have breakfast, but since we were leaving the property at 6 am, we enjoyed a pleasant pre-packed breakfast instead.

I absolutely loved the chance to have a bubble bath under the"cloudy but beautiful sunset sky". The property includes so many extras that I did not get to take advantage of- if I had company I would have loved to have a bonfire in the campfire area that is set up so thoughtfully . From the welcome sign and bowl of fruit on the counter to the host Sybille meeting me and explaining that I should check out the walk to the dam (which was a lovely walk)- her friendliness was so heartwarming and greatly appreciated. I've always wanted to stay in a tiny home and this was better than I could have ever expected.

Located in Ondekaremba, a 1-hour drive from Windhoek, Zannier Omaanda provides accommodation set within a 9000-hectare private wildlife reserve. I really appreciated the warm welcome from the staff — everyone was friendly and greeted me with a smile. My hut was clean and comfortable, and waking up to the sound of birds in the morning was truly refreshing. The food was also excellent; I really enjoyed my stay overall.

The location of Progress Guest Farm was ideal as it is close to the airport and Windhoek. The host William and Grace hospitality were warm and welcoming and went over and beyond our expectations.

Three big bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, plus an upstairs with a big table and a patio where we could watch birds and the occasional mammal. The food was great, huge portions or big buffet. It’s on a part of the game reserve with no dangerous animals so you can walk around safely. We saw ostriches, antelopes, hyrax and hare while walking or looking out our window. It’s part of a nonprofit that’s working to preserve and protect animals while working with the local community. We did the “Behind the scenes tour” which was really interesting and fun, loved the baboon walk! Really glad we stayed here!

Their gorgeous home is only 15-20 from the airport, so very convenient. Highly recommended!!

Featuring accommodation overlooking Auas Mountain, Trans Kalahari Inn is located 22 km from Windhoek Hosea Kutako International Airport. It offers an outdoor swimming pool, sports bar and free Wi-Fi. It was a great stay! The staff is very friendly, the food is delicious and the view of the hotel is really amazing. Dinner menu is very complete!
