Just 1.4 km from the town centre, Gateway Motor Lodge - Wanganui offers free Wi-Fi access and free parking access, including parking for boats, horse floats and trucks. We liked everything about the property. Our spacious room was fantastic, with all the necessary amenities. Sue, the woman who assisted us at the property, was also tremendous in all respects, arranging for our late arrival and helping with a number of questions that we had regarding meals, places to visit, etc. We would highly recommend this motel to anyone!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, clean,spacious, quiet, staff and owners were wonderful, very accommodating, would recommend definitely, loved the lodge cat called PussPuss, also very welcoming and friendly 😀 we will stay again

This is a peaceful little unit at the back of the house, beautifully equipped for an overnight stay (in our case) or longer if required. We only met Lauretta briefly but she was very pleasant & helpful, especially with a recommendation for dinner at a small bistro on Victoria Ave (which turned out to be superb!), a 15-18 minute walk away. Continental breakfast was tasty & plentiful. All in all, highly recommended.

Lots of extra little touches. Great location to supermarkets, pump track, pools etc. Delicious cereal, juice and yoghurts left for breakfast. Fejoa tree was a bonus!
