Huni Lio features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in El Nido. The hotel provides an outdoor swimming pool and free shuttle service and free WiFi. We got the room facing the pool, and it was lovely. The resort was just the right size, with the basic things that we need. The kids enjoyed dining at the restaurant because it was at the beach. Our little one was able to play with sand while we enjoyed our drinks. We loved seeing the squirrels playing by trees near the restaurant. We were lucky to see monkeys as well! We love the Filipino food they served, and the staff were very accommodating, too. We hope to be back here with other relatives.

Bella Athena Garden features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in El Nido. Providing massage services, the property is located within 2.8 km of El Nido Beach. Extremely courteous staff providing detailed timely information to help tourist. El Nido is more than 5 hours from Puerto Princesa and anyone who wants to fully enjoy Puerto Princesa island needs to plan for atleast a week. This helps in enjoying the island completely as there are lot of attractions and long distance traveling. Bella Athena Garden is off Ca-Alan beach with a huge Bay area. It's about 1.5kms from El Nido town square and can be reached walking if less luggage. If with big luggage it's better to book tricycle which charges around Pesos100. The hotel provides pick up service before 6PM upon arrival. It's in a nice remote location with restaurant attached and bike rental services at P500 for 24 hours. The menu is well spread out and the rooms (more like cabins) extremely well furnished with private bathroom. There's laundry service couple of hotels away on the same road.

El Nido is truly an amazing place to visit. I suggest to do an island hopping as it takes you to different scenery and beaches (my favorite was the Big Lagoon). Also, if you want to get around the island there are several mode of transportation.
I’m in 2 minds about El Nido.. I loved the location & the fact that island hopping was so accessible there as well as other beaches (Vanilla & Lio). Unfortunately it has become a bit of a tourist trap with very little local Filipino culture. 95% of the restaurants were catered to Westeners (think pizza, burgers, pasta etc) and were overpriced. It was very hard to find Filipino food which I think is pretty sad. There was none of the charm of Port Barton or even Bohol which has still retained a feeling of the Phillipines despite being tourist locations. Lots of the restaurants we looked up had multiple reporting of food poisoning which made it difficult to find something suitable for our family of 5. We did however really enjoy Vanilla beach & Lio beach which had some affordable food & drink options along with their stunning views & swimmable waters. Overall a beautiful place, but I preferred Port Barton & wish we had spent more time there in comparison to El Nido. Island tours were similarly priced & more low key.
The nature is incredibly beautiful, just be careful with what you eat or drink. Better to buy only mineral water. And try to avoid to eat the food which is included in the island hopping for your safety.
El Nido has so many fun things to do, and we liked that while there were a plentitude of tourist options, we were not separated from local culture and activities that sometimes happens in other places. We were only there for four days, and we could have stayed another week. The beaches are beyond stunning, both the ones you can walk to and the ones that need a boat. The snorkeling was fantastic, the food options endless, and the vibe was chill and fun.
I really enjoyed town, but nacpan and duli area also nice places to stay! Lio is another nice spot to stay. Town is good if you like going out to eat, and see a lot of things But staying in lio, nacpan or duli is also nice if you want a more peaceful, quiet time. even sibaltan would be nice (check out the manta rays if you dive)
El Nido is a nice little town surrounded with nice beaches and lots of activities. Although we went in a typhoon season, we really had a good time and did all the activities we planned, but could not explore all the wonderful beaches. I wish I would have spend more time at El Nido.
