The staff were incredibly kind — always greeting us with a smile, never missing our breakfast schedule, and fulfilling our requests almost instantly. What I really appreciated was how they managed to be attentive without being intrusive. No frills, no fuss — just quietly present when you need them, which allowed us to enjoy the space fully. Special thanks to Renz and Joli, who went the extra mile to accommodate us. They even let us check in early, so we were able to rest after the long trip to the island. That kind of hospitality says a lot. The place itself is tucked in a quiet neighborhood with equally friendly locals. And the view? Just beautiful. From the marsh, we had an open view of both the sunrise and sunset — all from the same room. That alone is reason enough to stay. On our last night, we even got a home-service massage — Joli helped us arrange it without hesitation. That extra care made our trip even more relaxing. Oh, and I have to mention the Bangsilog. I ended up ordering it for 3 out of our 4 mornings there. Simple, flavorful, and done just right. This homestay is right at the heart of the island, so it’s easy to access any point from here. Quiet when you need rest, but close enough to everything when you're ready to explore. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be coming back.

The location is wonderful and the staff amazing! The Surf Bayay has a wonderful garden and therefore, there is a beautiful view from the room to the palms and plants. Everyone of the staff is so lovely and kind, reason why we felt like being at home. It is also the perfect accomodation for taking surf lessons at the surf school. We absolutely recommend the Surf Bayay!
