We really had a great stay. Such a nice idea to check-in here if you have a long layover. The staff Rojilyn, Dipak, Dave, Drew & Chandra are well educated. This is such a recommendable lounge!

Featuring a lap pool and free WiFi, Oryx Airport Hotel offers accommodation at Hamad International Airport, Doha. Obviously, the location is everything. I had a 14-hour layover, so it seemed worth it to plunk down $300 for a good bed and a full night's sleep. The pool was lovely: after a long flight, swimming laps felt marvelous, and I made use of the jacuzzi as well. I liked that you went through security before accessing the hotel, which meant that in the morning, I could walk 10 minutes straight to my gate and I was ready to board. The room was equipped with a sliding wooden screen in addition to normal hotel curtains, effectively blocking out the flashing neon lights of the atrium. (Unfortunately, I couldn't convince my body it was time to sleep, so I probably would have been just as well off hanging out in an airport lounge. If I had to do it over again, I still would have booked the hotel, but I would have taken a sleeping pill.)P

Situated on Banana Island, a 20-minute luxury ferry ride from Doha, Banana Island Resort features 800-metre private beach, Anantara Spa, 9 dining options and a lagoon pool. We had a truly wonderful stay. The entire staff was exceptionally helpful always ready with a smile and willing to assist. Our experience with the guest services concierge was outstanding, particularly thanks to Mr. Ramzi. Everything was top-notch: the delicious food, beautifully maintained rooms, prompt room service, and the wide range of activities available. We also loved the atmosphere, food, and the staff at Riva’s Italian cuisine and Ted’s American Diner was great too, and the magic shows were a fun surprise. Thanks to Ishaque, Nauaju, and Arbaj.

We had limited time as we only had 9 hour layover. Would definitely do it again. Was so worth it.
